Needed to prevent elbow bending but the metal insert meant for that purpose bends easily and I'm an older woman so it wasn't even that much of a test. Also it wasn't cheap but I'd hoped buying one of the slightly higher-priced ones it would've been better materials.

This brace has worked better for me than seeing my chiropractor for 4 weeks. No more numbness in my fingertips. It helps with the swelling also. It does male your joint stiff when you first take it off. Just like any other brace.
