Scent: Grove/Starter Kit
I was curious about these because I like the design and didn't want to subscribe. I would describe Grove to smell like candy, it's a very sweet fragrance. Someone else described it as a gummy bear fragrance and that's fair. It's relatively faint though and it reminds me a bit of another scent I enjoy. I'd also describe it as more feminine than masculine. Teak, on the other hand, does smell like a slightly musky, wood, maybe with some undertones of amber in there. It's not my favorite though I can see its appeal. Anyway, happy with these especially to try. I do not expect them to last long. The manufacturer's card says it will last 30 days. I plan to make my own scent blends and reuse the wood once the original scent has dissipated. Pros: Design is aesthetic. Didn't have to subscribe. Cons: The scents weren't quite what I expected though they're fine in the short term. It's a bit pricey for a magnetized piece of wood. You could probably DIY this if you're handy. ... show more

I decided to try these Drift wooden air freshener blocks because I liked the idea of something more natural-looking than the usual car fresheners. They definitely add a touch of style, and the scent is pleasant without being overpowering. Pros: Sleek, minimalist wood design—looks great in the car or even in small spaces at home. Light, natural fragrance that isn’t too strong or artificial. Easy to use—just place it and forget about it. Eco-friendly alternative to disposable fresheners. Cons: Scent starts strong but fades faster than I expected (a couple of weeks before becoming very subtle). Works better in smaller spaces—might not be noticeable in larger vehicles or rooms. Limited scent variety compared to traditional air fresheners. Overall, I like the aesthetic and the natural vibe these fresheners bring. If you’re looking for something subtle and classy, they’re a great option—just don’t expect a super long-lasting or very strong scent. ... show more

Ok, nice design, nice scent. Not long lasting. I CAN still smell it if you put your nose up to it. Unfortunately, didn't last more than 7-10 days before it just became a nice looking, dry block of wood ornament in the car. Well made, sleek and attractive. Now I will use it and soak it with water and beard oil to reuse vs reordering. So thats a positive. Reusable with the right process. Too expensive to order every 15 days. (15 bc thats about as long as the scent was good for) ... show more

    • Scent Gone After 48 Hours

Okay, so I gave this two stars because it is indeed beautiful, it holds well, and it doesn't get in the way and the worry of it falling onto your face or the dash as you drive is non existent. This thing came in packaged well, I was impressed by Alpha Males review on it so I decided to give it a try, and I bought two of them. One for the driver and passenger side. I installed them on Saturday, the scent was very strong, I see other reviews of people saying just how powerful the scent is and it is true, it's a powerful scent, however, it is right in front of your face as you drive and with the AC on or Heat on will further blow it into your face. Now, as I said, I installed it on Saturday and by Monday the smell was so faint that I forgot that I had installed them. Comes Tuesday, zero scent, I was so disappointed. I questioned myself to see if I had done something wrong, and I followed the instructions that I came with them and I also watched videos on them. Now, I am not sure if it starts off strong and then just supposed to lightly scent your vehicle, because I don't even smell it when I open the door and get in after the door has been closed all night. Maybe I received bad ones? But what are the chances of receiving two bad ones? Even before writing this review I went to my car to see if I was able to smell anything and it was so little that it didn't make sense at all. I think they have a great product here, it looks beautiful within the car, but they need to do more quality checks on this product. Now, they get you by saying that it can last up to 30 days ... But how? What makes it last 30 days? What would make it not smell after 48 hours? ... show more

    • Cute $13 wood block in my car that smells like cinnamon

I got the teak scent with the starter kit. It was easy to clip onto the sun visor, and the smell is phenomenal. I would describe the teak as a warm, slightly woody cinnamon. It reminds me a lot of cinnamon extract or cinnamon essential oil. It's a good unisex fragrance in my opinion, though I know some may find it too masculine. If you prefer very feminine scents, I would suggest avoiding the teak. I just put it in my car, so I will try to remember to update this on the longevity of the scent once it finally fades. I'll be able to decide whether it's worth it or not by how long it lasts. Initially, at least, this gets 5 stars. Small update - About 3 days after putting this in my car, the intensity of the scent dropped. It's not so powerful that every inhale inside my car smells like intense teak, but it's still pleasant. 5/31/25 - The scent has lost more intensity. I still catch it as I enter the car which is nice, I assume my passengers think my car smells nice when they step in, but otherwise I don't really catch it. I live in SoCal and my car sits in the sun, and I noticed the intense heat causes the oils to seep out of the block. I attached a pic that shows what I mean. I suspect the scent molecules are being destroyed by the SoCal heat, and if I had my car in a cooler location during the day, the scent would be staying around much longer (and the oils wouldn't be seeping out the wood). Before you buy this, consider how hot the interior of your car will get during the day when not in use. Too much heat will destroy the scent molecules and shorten the lifespan of this air freshener. ... show more
