I got this for my teen son for Christmas, him and his brothers are enjoying it. The picture is super clear even without a screen we just have it on the wall or ceiling. The connection to WiFi was simple, casting from his iPhone also easy they can plug in the Xbox or Amazon stick. The case it comes in is nice, the remote will need 2 AAA batteries that aren’t included. I hardly do reviews but this one was worth the time, also we don’t have the screen at full size in picture but it does go a lot bigger like a small movie theater screen almost.

We gifted this to our son for Christmas. I was pleased to get a really good Black Friday Deal. I haven't used projectors a lot before so I can't compare this with others but I did read the reviews for this so I can address some things. First, it was a bit of a pain to setup. The instructions that come with it are not very helpful. As far as I was able to tell in our trial and error setup, you WILL need something to assist with casting from your phone. We pulled a basic Google Chromecast off one of our TVs and all of a sudden it was working great. I think these are under $30 so it's worth the investment. I'm not familiar with Apple so sorry I can't address that. We just plugged in the HDMI cable to the projector and also the USB cable (both came with the Chromecast) into the projector to power the Chromecast. Fantastic. Then, for the audio. As far as I could tell you CANNOT do Bluetooth audio with this. You have to have an aux to aux cable (old school headphone jack on both ends), plug into your projector and into your speaker (make sure if you buy a speaker to go with this that it does have a plugin for an aux cord not just bluetooth capability--I ordered a basic bluetooth speaker for him and I was lucky, it did have a plugin). Once we got that figured out it was working great. Only concern now--the tripod that comes with this is not great. It's not very secure, doesn't hold the projector securely in all positions. My son wanted to cast onto the ceiling and he had to just cobble together a setup because the tripod wouldn't work for that without the picture being crooked. Even casting onto a wall it took a lot of fiddling with the tripod for it to even maintain a basic stability and then just don't bump it whatever you do!! All in all, we're happy with this now that we have it setup. The picture and sound (even the sound of the projector without the speaker is pretty good for its size!) are good, and we wanted a small projector so it would be portable, so we definitely got that. Pretty happy with it, just save yourself grief and have the Chromecast or whatever casting device and the aux cord ready to go!!

The quality of the video and ease of casting to the projector from a phone was great for 9 months. Found out after I bought the projector that Pixel phones only cast to chromecast devices so we had to buy one to plug into the projector, then it worked great. Also if wifi quality is not high enough the casting is will stall out at a black screen. BUT all of this doesn't really matter because the projector won't even turn on anymore and customer service contact information is all a dead end. So great projector if you want to buy a new one every year. One star of the life of the projector.

To be fair, I will say that the chance of the product being damaged in transit is pretty high. The tripod stand came in 3 pieces, which is why I reached out in the first place. Normally Amazon puts the manufacturer packaged item in an Amazon box, but not this time. It’s just the manufacturer packing with a label on it. I got an email reply back fairly quickly (within the first hour). Amazon messaging with seller was also quick. Day 1 the projector was fine. I didn’t use remote because I don’t have batteries in my house and don’t really want to go out to buy some just for this. Connected to WiFi using buttons on the projector. Then I used IOS Cast. Quality was as expected. I used it in my room and audio was also fine. Was able to play mobile games and watch films just fine. This is all screen mirroring. Day 2 I run into a lot of issues. Restarting the projector solves my “Unable to connect to “W13-M-XXXX”” error several times. A few hours later this stopped working too. Restarting my Apple device and unplugging projector as well reinputting WiFi password solved this. But now I couldn’t get it to work no matter what I tried (restarted WiFi, projector, iPad, new device, etc). I IOS Cast AP feature (no WiFi needed) still works, and there are some occasions where I could use this feature, which is the only reason why I am not gonna return the item. So yeah, 3 stars for ease of setup, and customer service, and not being a total piece of junk. Maybe when I wake up tomorrow it’ll work again. But for now, it’s keeps on giving me the unable to connect error, which is pretty bad because projecting safari/mobile games is the other 50% of why I bought this in the first place. I have not tried any of the other features. Also gonna give the remote control a 5 star because it feels fine without the batteries and I’m not going to take away stars if I can’t find an issue.
