Q2: Why does the wireless transmission rate speed down,when the wireless signal is stronger after repeated by the Repeater? A1: In compliance with the wireless transmission protocol, all the Repeater devices are set to work in half duplex instead of full duplex mode. In other words, the Repeater has to process one-way communication between your root Wireless router(or AP) and the terminal clients; so the transmission time will be double increased, while the speed will be decreased.Recommends that you connect to the extender when your home network connection is poor, or when you want a larger wireless coverage to eliminate "dead zones”. Q3: Why the devices connected to the Repeater cannot get an IP address from the Repeater and cannot access the Internet? A1: Maybe you enabled a wireless MAC filter, wireless access control, or access control list(ACL) on your router. This WiFi extender works great! Before using it, the signal in my bedroom was very weak, and I often experienced slow speeds and connection drops.     • You get what you pay for. It works but its slow.
The range on it is good. It is very easy to setup. But it is slow. Setup: Plug it in, connect to its unsecured Wi-Fi, then go through the easy setup wizard. I have run a few speed tests using my phone held in place next to the device. I ran speed test with my phone connected to the repeater and with my phone connected directly to the source Wi-Fi that the repeater is trying to repeat. This thing is consistently about 1/3 my normal Wi-Fi speeds. That tells me this device probably only has a SINGLE radio and it is intermittently switching back and forth between the two Wi-Fi networks (the source Wi-Fi and the one it is broadcasting as a repeater.) If you want better speeds then pay for a better device. The range is as good as you would expect. Between this device in the window of my barn and my main Wi-Fi router I get coverage everywhere on my 4.5 acres. ... show more

Since installing it, the WiFi signal has reached areas of my home where the connection used to be very weak or nonexistent.
