With so many dash cams on the market, after considerable research on features and price points, I decided on this one. Since I have a '08 Shelby GT500 convertible and it's not a daily driver, I wasn't that interested in the motion detection or wifi as this requires it to be powered on at all times, just not a concern for me. The built-in rear facing camera with the top down gives a pretty good view rearward with the top down. Giving me both front and rear without a separate camera install. As this is a high performance car I also wanted the built-in GPS in case I needed to prove or disprove my speed depending on the situation. Using the provided app is a plus to easily view all the information at a glance with integrated Google maps and really happy with the image quality. The video shows my speed in Kilometers rather than Mph, not sure why or how to change that, yet the bottom right of the app shows the speed in the desired format. Night vision on the rear facing could be better, but acceptable for me. The forward night vision view was pretty good in my opinion. The fwd night shot shows where the pickup to my left started coming into my lane for no real reason. Thinking I may have to get another one for my Jeep Wrangler. I like the picture quality, easy to use and top notch software. The night vision is not very clear in total darkness, but even with just a little light the quality of the image improves.If you drive for a Ride Share company, or just you need to record what happens inside and outside of your vehicle the Uber Dash Cam, Z-Edge Z3Pro is what you need. The installation was easy and straight forward, I was forced to run a cable to an USB port on the back of my 2007 Audi A6 because I wanted the one on the front of the car free to use. The settings are easy to navigate once you spend a couple of minutes getting used to the way everything is set up. The instructions are clear and the quality of the pictures is very high. The bright spot is the software, with just a couple of clicks you are able to see the inside and the outside of you car (saved in different files), you can see the location on the map, speed, date and time, everything you need to see in case of an event. Originally bought this camera in 2020 (they’ve updated the look since then). It held up well but after about year 4 the buttons stopped working and I wasn’t able to click through anything other than be able to save a video while it was recording. I have updated the same firmware 15 times. Still asking to update every time you connect with phone. The camera is great and would have given a 5 star, except the constant update is very annoying.

    • Great value for the $$$
My friend recently got into an accident just pulling out of the parking lot in a hospital. It was according to him a slow moving accident but it resulted in considerable body and paint damage. He called the police but from the way the cars appeared the police officer could not determine who was at fault and thus issued both drivers a ticket. Fortunately my friend had a Z Edge camera. He was able to replay the accident to the officer. According to him he gave the ticket to the other driver and made a claim against his insurance with no out of pocket expense. After that incident I decided to buy a video camera for my car. Like a conscientious customer I researched many makes and models. This unit had the best specs for the $$$: an NTK96663 processor and dual Sony IMX323 image sensors with F1.8 aperture both front and rear cameras. It also uses a super capacitor instead of a rechargeable battery. If you live in a hot climate and want your unit to last this is a must. If you can take away anything from this review get a unit with a supercapacitor. Install was easy with the provided materials. The GPS unit works well but I don't live downtown surrounded by lots of tall bldgs. Image quality was very good. The video continues to loop so leave and forget. Hitting the down button lets you capture a picture in the event you want to memorialize a scene. This is a recommended BUY. ... show more

I had previously purchased a Z-edge camera for one of my other cars. Recently I had a teenager who is starting to drive. Since I know the camera is definitely a great quality I figured I could get the dual camera one to assure that my teenager is being a smart and safe driver. The camera was just as easy to install as before and they provide everything needed in the box to hook it up. The cord is extra long so it is easy to hide the wire and route it in a manner that it isn't in the way of anything. The sound and picture quality are great. I tested the camera out in my car just to see how well it picked everything up and was surprised with the overall quality that it puts out. I will continue to buy Zedge products as they have continued to be great products. Living in Arizona I thought the heat would get to them but I have had no loss in quality or performance of the camera before and believe I won't in the future ... show more

    • Good cheap cam
It's probably the best uber camera you'll find, for 2 reasons: 1- it's one of the only ones that has the reverse camera on the left side. This is important, because most cameras have it on the right side. Having the reverse camera on the right hand side gives issues with camera placement. Optimally you'll want to place the camera behind the backup mirror, out of sight, which you can do with this. With all the other cameras you'll need to put them in front of the mirror, blocking some of the view. 2- has a capacitor for storage instead of a battery. Which means the battery won't go bad. The camera built quality, image quality, design, is nothing to boast about. A bit budget looks and feel. But it does the job. ... show more

    • Multi-function Dash Cam with Front & Rear Cameras
I've been searching a dash cam in the market for a long time since my old one always reset time and date every time I start my car. This dash cam caught my eyes as it provides 1080p quality videos and pics as well as it has a rear camera. Although I don't drive an Uber or Lyft, i found it actually provides the side window view. In case of accident, it can also provide more angles to support the evidence. It can also sense the environment and automatically switch to the infrared night version when it gets dark. Moreover, the screen will auto shut off after 2-3 minutes but the loop recording is still going on. This is a nice feature as I wouldn't stare at the small screen anyway when i'm driving. The install is very easy. The package comes with a 36GB microSD and a very long cable which I routed around the car ceiling and mat to make my car neater. So far I love this dash cam a lot.
