If this is your first weighted blanket, we suggest you select a light to medium pressure blanket (20lbs or 25lbs).

Be aware if you fart under this it will not escape 12 hours later and that bad boy is going to sneak up on you. This product was well packaged and initially looked to be well made. The first few nights were amazing and everything I expected from the price point. The weight was evenly distributed and provided mass over my whole body. Fast forward 10 days and the weighted beads have now all migrated to the edges of the blanket and there is little to no weight in the center and the sides are now so heavy that it tries to fall off the bed. So now I have a super expensive blanket that does not provide weight, warmth or comfort and that is constantly is falling off the bed. I am not sure how at this price point they could not figure out how to contain the weighted beads in there original quilted area but this blanket is a complete disappointment. ... show more

This comforter has its pros and cons: Pros: -the biggest reason I bought this comforter was because it fits over my king size bed like a standard comforter. All the other brands only offer sizes that would end at the edge of our bed and that just wouldn’t be comfortable for us. -it has a nice weight for us (see con as well) -the weight is in small squares across the comforter so it remains pretty much evenly distributed across. The squares are made up of a polyester fiber and glass beads. Occasionally the fiber will bunch up and I rather enjoy spreading it back out with my fingers - odd I know but relaxing. -it’s not hot! We live in NC and we had a week of 100 degree heat in late May and I still loved sleeping with this blanket. We keep our upstairs at 72 degrees at night and we have a ceiling fan for reference. Cons: -the weight is great for my husband and I because of our weight but for smaller ppl with a king size bed it would be nice to have lighter weight options -they say it’s machine washable but I think it would destroy my washer. Imagine a 25lb blanket drenched it water trying to spin. Maybe a laundry mat or the dry cleaners -I wish the fabric was softer. Overall I highly recommend this weighted blanket. We have both slept much deeper with the weight. In the winter I like to sleep with a quilt and a down comforter for the weight ... now I can get that same relaxing weight all year long. Update: I’ve had this blanket laundered twice and she always comes back clean. However, the color has faded and the weight in the small squares seems to shift to one side. I did order the cover that was recommended but it never fit correctly on the blanket. The center ties were off not allowing it to secure properly. I have severe RSL, fibromyalgia, and anxiety. I don't sleep well. I went to my doctor for my prescritions for my kegs and he suggested a weighted blanket. I read reviews of many of the blankets on Amazon and kept coming back to this blanket. I liked reading that it is made of quality material, has double stitching, and non-smelly fill. So I bit the bullet and ordered. It is definitely not the most expensive, kind of mid-range in price. I kept reminding myself that the reviews were great. I was excited waiting for it to come. I ordered it on Saturday and got it the following Tuesday. I immediately unpacked it, laid it on my bed and got under it. Wow! I got the 17 pounder, and it's a dandy. It took several nights to fully get used to it, but the first night I slept 5 hours straight. I don't remember moving. Best of all, my legs weren't jumpy for the first time in a looong time. I'm used to the blanket now. Once I'm in bed, I'm in and I don't wake up nearly as much. I guess I feel more secure. I love this blanket. It is changing my life because I'm getting quality sleep and I feel so much better during the day. Try it! You may like it! ... show more

Love this Blanket! If you have been researching weighted blankets, as I did for hours, look no more. I debated such a luxurious purchase, but what they say about the benefits to using one of these is TRUE! Out like a light and now stay there sleeping. The blanket itself is super high quality, with even weight distribution, heavy duty stitching, no weird smells, and at a fraction of the cost of the more expensive well known national brand. Easily compares in quality, if not exceeds it (likely the same thing if you ask me)I liked this too because it is the more traditional "King" size measurements for a blanket. This gives one tons of options for the protection of the blanket with a duvet. The other ones are weird sizes and didn't have many options for a duvet either, especially that were reasonably priced. I LOVE this weighted blanket I purchased from HomeSmart Products. It is quality. I purchased another brand a few months back and all the weighted material inside the blanket would shift to one side or corner of the blanket to another. I felt like I had to wrestle trying to even it out to use it. When I took this HomeSmart blanket out it was smooth with no shifting of the weight inside. The overall feel of this blanket is really nice and just feels well made. I purchased the king for our queen bed and I’m really glad I did. It hangs we over the sides and end of the bed which makes it easy to keep both my wife and I covered through the night. I have purchased hundreds of products from amazon over the last 20 years.
