I used this yesterday and let me tell you how impressed I am with it! I have been missing out for all this time. This thing takes out nice sized weeds without any problems. My only two complaints are 1. I wish it could rotate and have a guide wheel for edging and 2. I wish the batteries lasted a little longer. They do not last anywhere near an hour. Maybe around 30 minutes is more like it. Other than those two things, this thing is great and I love it and I highly recommend it!! It’s not heavy and it’s balanced out well enough that you can use it all day if you want. At this great price and the speed of getting the job done, you can’t go wrong with this one! ... show more

I love this weed eater it’s light weight and cuts so good and fast. I hate the battery does not last no longer than about 46 minutes. Line feeds very good unless the string is tangled up. Very easy to use the best so far

Easy assembly, just 1 screw putting on guard & handle. Batteries charged in around an hour. Only complaint is its not as comfortable to hold as my last one with a curved shaft. Works really well. I will say, though, that if you’re doing high, dense grass, you will run out of juice. I got through about 85% of my backyard and batteries died…but it did a great job cutting. Very nice that it only took about 2 hours for the batteries to fully recharge. I’ll use this for the lighter stuff and keep my gas powered for anything heavy duty. Nice knowing I can always cut the grass, especially when gas powered is giving me problems. ... show more

I have owned 3 other models of worx trimmers over the years that I have worked hard, the twenty volt original WG163 model which I still actually have ( an unbreakable worx horse), a WG184 which was a great machine and specifically the 56v model which was great but discontinued of course. It and the WG184 have/had an adjustable speed trigger for no battery and string waste and a button to feet string only when needed, additional a single string feed system that works perfectly. The WG184 model has gone up in price exponentially for whatever reason so I figured I’d try the WG183 as I don’t use any other attachments. BIG MISTAKE!!!!!! 💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩 This brings me to the toy quality trimmer that is the WG183. Very light, too light for what it’s use use is, no variable speed control which which means string feeds every time you let the head slow down too much which means you have to run this non stop at top speed which eats the battery! Doesn’t even make sense! The first one I ordered the string cutting blade broke off the guard (you cannot order replacement blades nor guards) on first use after about 20 minutes of use. The guard is too light weight and the cutter really needs to be re-engineered. I returned it and was sent a replacement. The second that was sent as replacement doesn’t feed string half the time as the dual string mechanism gets jammed. This happened on first use after about 15 minutes of use. I am also guessing I will have issue with the guard and string cutting edge as it is far too light weight. I will probably be sending it back as well as it’s a huge pain to have to keep manipulating the feed mechanism and I don’t believe it will last me even even a few more uses. Seriously it’s built like a toy. I don’t clear brush, I trim along sidewalk and landscaping. It should be built to handle at least that. I will most likely be looking for a new brand as I’m guessing this will translate throughout the product line. I would not recommend purchasing the WG183 model. For way too many reasons…. ... show more

I just purchased this trimmer,so take this review with a grain of salt.This weed eater is just what I was looking for .It is light weight,and powerful,and feeds the line without hassle. I haven't tried to reload with line yet,but I have purchased some refill spools,and will see when they run out.

Love this thing! Was gonna order the one above this with thicker trim line but this thing is a monster cutting all the vines creeping up my trees! I bought a gas model and used once pain in the neck and heavy and uncomfortable to use. I opened the box charged up the batterys and went out and tore up all the crap in no time. I have another worx battery weed wacker and love it but this is amazing and I'm so glad I bought it. Very powerful trim line perfect for hard weeds and long so I can reach under my tall bushes where all those ivy and other creeping crap is growing and tore it right up. I've tryed everything but THIS took them out. Hoping it will last. I did order some trim line already in a spool so it will be easier to change out. If you have any question about this...dont...just buy it ... show more
