NOT ANYMORE! Westmark’s French Fry Cutter is definitely one of the best items I have ever bought since Amazon became commercial. The product is so easy to use and the cut on the fries are even and are perfect lengths. One of the reasons why I was reconsidering buying the product was because many reviewers said that the potatoes were hard to cut, but I did not encounter this issue whatsoever! As long as your potatoes aren’t the size of mountains, making fries will be a new hobby for you. I really like using this French fry cutter but I do have a few issues with it. I should preface this with I am using sweet potatoes only. The fry cutter isn't very big, so most of the potatoes I used have to be cut in half; some require additional trimming as well. It comes with three sizes and is easy to use. Make sure when you put it together that you have the sharp end of the blade facing toward what you are cutting. I do question the longevity of this product. The picture attached happened during the fifth instance of using it. Overall, it get's the job done. I suggest placing it on a towel or cutting board to help protect your counters. ... show more

I made my first fries this morning with four raw medium size Russet potatoes. Thr 12mm cutter required so little effort to cut through the potatoes I didn’t even use the suction to keep the cutter stable. I did cut all potatoes in two and trimmed the ends , but the short, fat fries cooked beautifully in the air fryer and were truly scrumptious! The cutter feels quite solid and well made. The item is very poorly made with cheap materials. I’ve used this twice now and it’s already broken. It’s labeled as a French fry cutter, but cannot be used to cut a raw potato or even sweet potato. It’s extremely small and won’t even fit a medium size potato so you have to cut them in half just to have them fit. You also need to apply a TON of force to actually cut a vegetable. I hardly ever endorse a product but this cleaning product is great. I use it mostly on my stainless steel kitchen sink and it cleans it better than anything else I have used. What I like about it is the water beads up like the wax on a car. The sink has a new sink look too!
