It took a while but I picked up a new battery and .....it still didn't work. I tested the battery and had 100% juice. I bought another battery and still nothing. No qualms...have owned it for 2 weeks, used it handful of times. Used it enough to build an opinion. Easy to clean, dependable, probe locks into place. Compared temperature taken with another thermometer (Maverick) and it was with 2 degrees. I'd say that's pretty good. I'll update this post if I find that the temperature difference gets to be too big. ... show more

I purchased one of these in 2005 for work. I am still using the same one 8 years later. It works perfectly and is still very accurate. It gets used several times a week, building maintenance at a hospital in San Francisco... HVAC and refrigeration. I have had to replace the batteries a couple of times, common watch style batteries you can get at Radio Shack, Amazon or what ever. I bought another one recently just to have a spare because i was worried the original one might quit on me some day in the future. This little thermometer is really cool and has proven itself to me. ... show more
