Great in the bag and easy to use. Super accurate and worth every penny. UPDATED March 15 This unit worked fine at first. Then just over 30 days it stopped working. It took a while but I picked up a new battery and .....it still didn't work. I tested the battery and had 100% juice. I bought another battery and still nothing. I went to try and naturally this unit isn't eligible for returns if opened or used. So basically it is useless. Lucky I have a different unit so I can do my job. Where the battery fits, the quality is very bad. Had to fiddle with it to make it work. Can't recommend it to buy.

It’s very accurate but the plastic that is made of feels cheap; I have a feeling that it will break very quick if dropped.

    • An awesome digitemp
An awesome digitemp and a pity that Fieldpiece has discontinued it to push the SPK2 as its replacement. I prefer this SPK1 over the newer SPK2 as it's more compact as well as the probe swinging out sideways allows it to be sat on thermostats and space temp sensors and the display is able to be read whereas the SPK2 requires handling as the display is on top when used the same say. The compactness of the body allows it to positioned in places that I struggle to get the SPK2 to sit. Although the SPK2 has its advantages such as the T1-T2 function, as a HVAC technician I still prefer the SPK1 and would recommend others to grab one while there's still obsolete stock that is being cleared out. ... show more

I am a HVAC technician. I like Fieldpiece products so I was excited to order this pocket air sensor. Unfortunately I was quite disappointed with this probe which can take a minute or longer to show air temperatures. My hobby is BQQ and my pocket meat temperature probes record temperatures in 1 second. Sorry, but I don't have the patience to wait a minute or longer for temp readings. My meat probes have me spoiled. I am returning it. ... show more
