  • Works great and easy to use!
Color: Red Number of Items: 1
I should of got this years ago and will be buying more for Christmas presents! It just clips on, it stays in place and makes draining liquid from any size pot a breeze. Sturdy silicone, easy to clean and takes up less space than a typical strainer. Awesome product and less expensive than other options. Machine washable or just rinse it off. ... show more

  • Best Kitchen Gadget Ever!!!
Color: Orange Number of Items: 1
OMG, where has this been my 50 years of cooking. I know silicone wasn't invited until recently but WOW! I just got this strainer yesterday and used it today to strain the hot grease off of bacon in my large fry pan. Worked like a charm. No pieces falling into the grease can, no hot grease on my hand, and I got more drained off than when just using something to hold it back. I will be using this constantly for vegetables, potatoes and ground beef. No problem with the high heat. Seems like it will hold up to a lot of hot items. Did need some readjusting to how I hold a pan to drain but it clip right off and back on fairly easily. The clips are sturdy, so you may need to use both hands to open them, but that could be because they are new. Best gadget in my kitchen ever! ... show more

  • Easy to use, but you still have to be careful of steam blowing in your face.

Small size makes this quite worthwhile and it works better than most strainers. It does fit on every round pot I have except my saucepan (whichis tiny).

  • Wife loves this product
Color: Lime Green Number of Items: 1
My wife told me this was the best item I ever bought her! It clips on her pots she uses for pasta and allows her to pour the hot water out of the pot without losing any pasta. It does not slip off while she uses it. when she is finished draining, she unclips is and drops it in the sink. The old way of straining was using a colander in the sink and pouring pasta in it with the water draining out of it. Then you have to dump the pasta back in the pot. Or, one person can hold the colander while another pours the pasta into it, risking getting burned by the boiling hot water. This is not an expensive piece of equipment and is far easier to store than a stack of colanders, but you will still need them for washing vegetables. This is an excellent item to use when draining any liquid out of a pan without losing the contents. ... show more

  • Great for what it is. I do still prefer a traditional colander.
Color: Lime Green Number of Items: 1
I bought the Snap N Strain Pot and Pasta Strainer as an alternative to my traditional silicone colander. My previous colander broke, and I am in the process of moving, so I was looking for something on the inexpensive and smaller side that would prove convenient and not bulky when it came time to move to my new place. I intend on buying a more traditional colander, but I thought this would be a great substitute in the meantime. As someone who spends a lot of time in the kitchen, I was really excited to find an easier way to strain my food, finding something that allows me to keep the food still in the pot, rather than having to transfer the food back and forth between the pot and colander. In simple terms, does it strain the food, yes. Were there some challenges, yes. When I first used the strainer, I thought the concept itself was very easy to understand, but I found when attaching the strainer to the pot, you have to really push down on the strainer for it to clip onto the pot and become secured. While I like that the strainer does become rather secure once clipped on properly, it is the struggle to get it clipped on that I find worrisome. When dealing with hot food/liquids, the last thing I want to do is feel like I am struggling with the pot/strainer. I also found that, depending on the size of your food, the food can slip out on the top. I've noticed this more so is the case with larger food items or when you have more food in the pot, for example, a family-size box of tortellini. This can prove wasteful if you're not careful. I recommend a bowl underneath or something to try to catch the food. You also need to tilt the pot quite a bit to get all the water out. I have found that some water can get trapped and you can't really shake out the water like with a traditional colander. Despite the issues I found, I think this is a great tool when you're in a bind. I don't think it replaces all the benefits I have found with a traditional colander, but it does what I need it to do for now. Once I move into my new place and purchase my preferred colander, can I say that this will be moving from its spot in the cupboard? No, I don't think so. ... show more

  • Simple and super useful, Great gadget!
Color: Lime Green Number of Items: 1
This little strainer is one of those things you don’t know you need until you use it. It clips on easily and makes draining pasta or veggies so much easier without having to use a big colander. It fits well on different pots and pans and feels sturdy. It’s easy to clean and doesn’t take up much space at all. I use it all the time now, simple, practical, and very handy. ... show more
