The media could not be loaded. Bought this back in November on Black Friday, when Amazon was running a limited time deal. So if it didn't work well, I wouldn't have been too upset. But let me just say, BEST winter purchase of 2024! We just had our first bigger winter storm of the year here in Missouri. Started as a light wintery mix then 6-8 inches of snow on top of it. This video is my first time using the Westinghouse Snow Shovel after the first wave of the snow storm: - It really goes through powder snow very easily. - It is NOT made for the heavy/tough snow close to street that the snow plows leave behind. It will stop, clog, or potenitally break the plastic blade. So i still had to get the manual shovel out for that area. - The battery lasted through one lane of my driveway, and it took me 21 minutes to complete. (Picture of my driveway at the end of my video) - It took even less time the next day (about 10 min) to go over the same area, when we got another 2 inches overnight. - It really does shoot snow out 20ft, so there are not giant piles of snow (that take forever to melt) next to my driveway. Note: This is a snow shovel, not a snow blower (where you can change the direction). So when using make sure you are going against the wind, as flurries could blow back all over you. This tool made light work of thick powder snow, in little time. I opted for this snow shovel because snow storms like this happen every couple of years here in MO, and I don't want a big snowblower taking up space in the shed. This shovel, might be small, but it’s powerful enough I was able to move up to 3 inches of snow so far. The battery life was good enough that I cleared my driveway and sidewalk, as well as my neighbor’s driveway and sidewalk and still had some power left. The only downside to this power shovel is that you cannot control the direction of the snow being thrown. Be sure that you have nothing of value (child, pet, vehicle) in front of you because it really will throw snow up to 20 feet. When I did the bottom of my driveway, the snow was thrown all the way across the street. For someone who had rotator cuff surgery a year ago I definitely recommend this shovel. My driveway is 2 cars wide and 2 cars deep. I only have 1 car parking on the driveway. The night before the 1st snow, I checked for debris, such as sticks and rocks. Then early the next morning I blew the snow off. Because you keep the blower inside, I had a basket to set it in to keep the floor dry. That afternoon, I went back out with no cars in the driveway and blew/shoveled again. The battery almost lasted for 2 snow blowing times, I only did a little strip by hand. This snow was light and fluffy. So, I don't know how it will do with the heavier snow. This is great for little jobs. It blows the snow right in front of your path. ... show more

I am a 67 year old woman, and in relatively decent shape, but shoveling snow wipes me out. I live in a townhouse type house, so I have to clear the sidewalk in front of my property, as well as the path and steps to my door. I do my neighbors if I’m out there first, and she does mine if she is first. It isn’t a lot, but If I shovel it, it takes me at least 45 minutes, depending on how much snow, and my back would feel it. Had about 3-4 inches of snow last night. Literally had it all cleared in less than 15 minutes. Awesome. (and yes, I did in front of neighbors house as well, you just can’t see it because of her stone retaining wall….) ... show more

Just used it for first time, it did well. Took 2 full batteries to do my drive, not sure it was fully charged first time though, even though charger & battery said it was. You have to really secure battery on charger to get it to charge, I noticed as well. I had to smack it with palm of my hand , before it showed it was charging battery. Also if you get an extra battery make sure you get larger one, I made mistake of buying the smaller cheapest battery as a spare. It worked but, drained fast. The product worked well for 1 hour. Then I had to recharge the battery. Which I expected to do. When I tried to recharge them battery it would not accept a charge. I contacted Westinghouse, as directed, and for the next month and several phone calls and multiple emails and their computer generated responses my snow shovel still does not work because the battery will not take a charge. I even offered to return the battery before they sent a new one. Was told you can't do that. I paid $170.00 for this machine which has a supposed 2 year warranty. It needs a $40.00 battery which they say they won't replace. I have, given verbal and written explanations. I have sent pictures. I have done everything they have asked. No matter how ridiculous it was. Today I called and now they want a video of me doing all the things they asked. I told them I am done and would be giving this review on Amazon. The woman just laughed and said go ahead, no big deal. My review, don't buy anything from Westinghouse if you expect them to honor their warranty. Jim Collins ... show more

Works! Getting older. I don't need the strain on my back or heart so I gave in to technology. Relatively straightforward assembly, Cleared 4-5 inches of dry snow with ease. Battery life was at least 20 minutes of use( All I needed).
