I really love these light fixtures! We are preparing to sell our house, and we were looking to update some of our more outdated lights. The farmhouse style barn lights are definitely in style right now, but can also be very expensive. We wanted to try to find a barn light that wasn't too "country" or "industrial" as our house doesn't fit either of those styles. We needed it to blend in with our current style while still giving our bedroom and bathroom a more updated look. The single lights were used in our toilet room in the bathroom, as well as on either side of the bed. I also bought the matching 3-light fixture to go above our mirror at the bathroom sink. They all look great together and help tie together the flow of the room as a whole. We bought the edison bulbs to go in them, and they look fantastic. The lights are bright, and since they're pointed downwards (not like our old fixtures) the light seems brighter as it's more focused and directed down. They were easy to install, no issues at all. My only complaint is that the inside of the light can is so stark white. It stands out a lot, especially when the lights are higher, for example, the lights mounted above our bathroom mirror. When you look up, it's just this stark white contrast to the oil-rubbed bronze, which is also what our bathroom faucet and other fixtures are. I wish the interior was also oil-rubbed bronze, or something more subtle to the bright white. Other than that, I'm really happy with these fixtures. ... show more

We bought several of the matching items, and this one was a fine purchase. My only objection, which I had not considered, is that a bright bulb (Edison-style) without a cover can be harsh on the eyes. The location does have a dimmer, so that helps a lot!

Great light! Easy installation for my husband. One thing to note that he mentioned, the mounting bracket is meant for outside use, we are using it in an inside stairway.(doesn't hangout too much for someone to pump their head) He just finagled it a bit and it fit very well, you can't tell. Just heads up for anyone buying. Sorry the pics are sideways. They were right side down on my computer but apparently not on here... Lastly, we bought the "Dimmable Ascher Vintage LED Edison Bulbs, 6W, Equivalent 60W..." pack of 4 bulbs. They look awesome! We were actually able to get a slightly different style for the top of the stairs but magically the same brushed bronze, good luck I guess! ... show more

I needed a light fixture with a pull chain or switch directly on the fixture to turn it on/off. They are surprisingly hard to find. I really liked the look of these vintage style brushed nickel wall lights but couldn’t tell from the description or the pictures whether a pull chain could be added. I took a chance and ordered anyway. I am happy to report back that a pull chain CAN be added. There is plenty of space in the box to splice in a small 1” x 1” pull chain switch. You will need to drill a 3/8” hole in the front cover plate for the chain to hang out. That was the most challenging part since the shade is in the way so you have to drill from the back of the plate outwards. Also if you have a long chain, it does slightly hit the back of the shade as it hangs down. However it is hidden from view and doesn’t interfere with the ability to turn on/off the fixture. We are using these lights in a bunkhouse and they are perfect. I really like the look. They are the perfect size and with a 60W Edison bulb they cast plenty of light. ... show more
