    • Best Little A/C in Texas
Style: 12,000 BTU with Smart App
Review Image by Mr Bill
Living in Texas, the heat of summer is already here. Additionally, with the storms that have passed through my area, we have had loss of power twice. First, for only 3 hours and the second time for over six hours. Living near the Gulf of Mexico, hurricanes are always a threat. I have a portable generator (Champion) that can run my house except for the A/C. After researching various models and brands, I decided upon the Westinghouse 12,000 BTU floor A/C. I will use it to cool the rooms we are in during the day and if the outage stretches into the nighttime, move it into my bedroom. Easy to set up. I turned off my main A/C, and let it run for several hours. It cooled living room, dining room, and kitchen like a champ. While running, my wife and I were able to have conversation as the unit was very quiet. Remote control (comes with batteries) easy to use. I also downloaded the Westinghouse app and can control the unit with my smart phone. The unit has castors to roll it around from room to room. It is well-built and the instructions in the manual are easy to understand. I am very happy with my purchase. ... show more

    • Your SN is located below the barcode. It doesn't necessarily start with SN!
Style: 12,000 BTU with Smart App
We just received our 12,000 BTU Westinghouse portable AC Units and it only took about 20 minutes to set it up and get it running. Our bedroom is about 500 sq ft and it is cooling the room very nicely at this time!! Very pleased with the new unit.

This unit is perfect for my studio apt! 500 sq ft. Main room 350 sq ft, 9 1/2 ft ceiling, large openings to the kitchen, and long hallway to the walk-in closet and bathroom. Not noisy, but comfortable “white noise” at night. No problems at all with the drainage. Just a drop after one week. I live in a low humidity environment and keep my windows closed while using. Quick cool down, and even helps a bit in the kitchen. Great price for a 12,000 btu portable air conditioner! ... show more

    • The unit works ok.
Style: 12,000 BTU with Smart App
The unit barely keeps up, for what it is, and the size of my room and room is only half the size of what it's saying. It should be doing better at managing the space. The app doesn't work at all it won't link with the phone.

As I write this review the unit is working fine. So far it has been able to cool my room fairly fast. There is a considerable amount of noise as the compressor goes on and off. Where you could run into trouble is learning the buttons, especially on the remote. Sadly, it's not a backlit version so that means extra effort. Another VERY IRRITATING ISSUE is the limited ability to use apps like Google Home to operate the unit too. The manufacturer forces you to use their specific app. I still haven't been able to pair it. ... show more
