    • Works better than I expected, but is subject to a common issue- which you can fix.
Nice machine, easy to assemble, easy to use, easy to store, plenty of power. I have only two experiences with it so far, and one important observation. Machines like this do not use a screw auger to move the snow, it uses what amounts to a paddle to slap the snow up the chute. The machine removed the snow neatly to the ground, but snow quickly clogged the chute- sticking to the sides and had to be manually cleared every few feet. No doubt the combination of temperature and the snow type would affect this considerably, but we can't control what nature decides to drop on us. Sometimes powder, sometimes heavy and sticky. That's the kind that stuck. Solution- Dupont makes an aerosol spray called Snow and Ice Repellant, also available on Amazon. Dramatically reduces the problem. Of course that problem would occur with al the snow throwers of this style, kind of a universal issue. I think overall, the Wen product is probably the best buy in it's class, and Wen is a respected name for service. ... show more

I ordered this last year but it arrived too late to use it. Different story now. 5 inches of wet snow last night, and this dude handled it with no problem. The cord is a pain, but I don't have to worry about the gas powered one not working anymore. I have a two car driveway that is fairly long, and it didn't take a lot of time to clear it. ... show more

Very easy to assemble. Product worked quickly and worked as expected for the price point. Had no problem plowing through the snow drift. At 6'1", the handle was just an inch or 2 short for me, but very functional. Did not handle ice at the bottom of the snow well. Hard rigid plastic auger paddles start showing wear immediately on hitting ice and chute extension did not handle ice very well resulting in cracking. That said - unit worked perfectly out of the gate and did what was expected. Can't beat the price with a result of not having to shovel! Except to get a few years out of this and have it pay for itself quickly with a unit that is able to start right up and work. ... show more

This snow blower is awesome! I ordered on Monday after the snow storm dropped a foot of snow overnight. I got it on Friday right before we got 4 more inches. I used it this morning (Saturday) and it cleared all of the snow not just from yesterday but from almost a week ago on Monday from the areas I didn't clear! This thing is amazing and for the price 100% worth it! I hope we get more snow so I can go play with it again.     • Very powerful and effective with the right kind of snow.
The media could not be loaded. The first time I tried it the snow was to wet. The chute gets plugged pretty easily. If it's really cold outside and the snow isn't as sticky this thing eats through anything. The cord took some getting used to. I found draping it over my shoulders helps a lot. It clears light snow to the pavement very well. It struggles on heavy snow and/or ice. People saying this throws snow 30-40 feet are adding a fake zero since it throws the snow less than 4 feet. That's not a real problem since you can just go over where it lands and throw it again. For the price it works fine. For what it claims to do but can't, it loses stars. Truth in advertising folks, it matters. If I had been told it only threw snow 4 feet and didn't really work on 12+ inches of snow, that would have been fine and I would have bought it anyway. It just would have earned 5 stars for only doing what it claimed it could. ... show more
