These are great rulers! I actually purchased this to use as a tool cutting guide for a few tools where thicker guides get in the way of the tool housing...this is almost perfect for that. The extrusion is sturdy and quite stiff and mine arrived perfectly with perfectly straight marking edges, perfectly flat surface, and overall just very well done. The hook is great also, but I removed that for my intended use. I did check the graduations against a Mitutoyo 6" scale and a Starrett 18" square blade and they were spot on. They are laser etched. Ends are cut nice and square. I compared this in person with the similar Woodpeckers rulers that these are clearly a copy of. Just about identical. The marking edges on the original red are quite thinner (approaching sharp, almost), which is an advantage. The edges on this Wen are approximately 1mm, which is still good and should minimize parallax. The etching on the red is a bit deeper as well. All in all, this Wen is a real winner, great quality, and a lot less expensive (and actually for my off-label use, it's better than the red one). ... show more

Giving 5 stars because 4.7 or 4.8 isn't an option. These are great (I also have the 12"), and I like the hook stop on the end. My only wish is that I could get them with the same units on both sides because sometimes I need to mark on the other side of the ruler. The build quality seems excellent. I haven't tried to determine the exact accuracy except to verify that they match my favorite tape measures, which is plenty good enough for me for woodworking! ... show more

This is a great edge ruler, super precise and, as with all Wen tools, an excellent value. This is quite practical given the small size. Personally, I find it much easier to read than the red or blue rulers I have. Give it a try, it won't disappoint or break the bank.

This arrived on time and was what I ordered. It's a great little shoulder / marking square. I don't use it as much as I thought I would, but it is nice, it's accurate, and useful. It is a little small though.

Picked up the WEN Pocket Marking Edge Ruler and was honestly surprised by how well it’s made for the price. The ruler looks sharp, has a smooth anodized finish, and the markings are crisp and easy to read. It feels solid in the hand and has just enough weight that it doesn’t feel flimsy. The size is really convenient for quick marking jobs or carrying around in your pocket or tool bag. What impressed me most was the accuracy. WEN measuring tools are generally within 0.05 mm, which is better than I expected for something in this price range, and typically more than enough for most woodworking. The edge hugs the workpiece well and the holes make it easy to mark perfectly straight lines. For the price, you really can’t go wrong. WEN’s measuring tools seem to hold up pretty well, and this one is no exception - great value if you want something reliable that just works. ... show more
