  • Awesome little Lathe Chuck !!!
Style: Lathe Chuck
I was pleased when I opened the box for this little 2.75 lathe chuck, Very nice finish on the parts and works very smoothly. I'll be ordering more lathe accessories from Wen soon.

  • Works perfect!
Style: Flat Jaws
Such good value. Soooo worth it. I was a little scared because its much cheaper than other options out there but it is soooo good. I use it for bowls and cups all the time and it works great. Just make sure your lathe is on a lower speed when using it.

  • Works great
Style: Lathe Chuck
Good price for a self centering 4 jaw chuck. My only disappointment is the key/wrench to tighten the jaws. Wish they were a T handle. I ended up buying a cheap T handle hex wrench and used a grinder to make a square head.

  • Really nice - especially for the price.
Style: Lathe Chuck
Very nice little chuck; I bought it for small projects and it works great - much less expensive than so many other chucks. It has a closed back and has indexing as well. Thumbs Up.

  • Solid piece
Style: Lathe Chuck
Solid little chuck, works well. Does have some issues with the gripping teeth dropping out when fully opened, however, they are easy to re mount and the grip is great!

  • Does NOT work with LA4444 chuck
Style: Dovetail Jaws
These jaws will only work with the WEN LA4275 chuck, and not the WEN LA4444 4-inch chuck. One review suggested drilling out the screw holes to fit the LA4444, but I would recommend not doing that because the grooves on the back still won't match, and unless you get the holes centered perfectly you'll end up with jaws that are not centered. ... show more

  • Awesome for a wood lathe!
Style: Lathe Chuck
It is very accurate as long as the wood is square on the mounting end! Guess my chop saw needs to be adjusted back to square. I'm loving the chuck for my wood lathe, I make a lot of smaller things on the lathe! Just need to buy some more jaws to hold smaller diameter items.

  • Quality control of machining is meh.
Style: Lathe Chuck
Like everyone says it had burrs of metal, that need to be cleaned out before use. It doesn't operate smoothly, but for the money it is worth it. The size of this chuck is excellent and NOVA should take some notes on what makes this chuck and its jaws better than their g3 chuck. You can use this on a 3" tenon, which you can't with a NOVA. I own a g3 also, I bought this to fill the size gap a nova can't get ahold of and attaching this to a 1" 8tpi mt2 live center I have. It allows me to securely get ahold of a rough oak log blank. ... show more
