Great price for a chair with so much adjustability. The only way it cant be adjusted is moving the arms out of the way, and the lumbar doesn't have a manual adjustment, its just spring loaded to adjust to the user somewhat. I wish I could lock the headrest because it moves easily but I could probably tighten it. The mesh seems to be good quality and the wheels are super smooth. The only thing I didn't like was the way the mesh was attached to the seat at the corners, it was kind of folded over and tucked in and there was a single strand of mesh that poked out and hurt my leg but it was easy to cut off/tuck in. Overall pretty comfy with really good adjustability and seems good for posture.

There are adjustable chairs, and there are ADJUSTABLE chairs. This chair falls into the "all caps" category, because it stands on top in terms of adjustability and comfort. One of my "pet peeve" areas of chair ergonomics is the arm rests. Most have no adjustability at all, maybe you get 1 adjustment (up and down). If the "chair gods" have smiled upon you, you might get 2 arm rest adjustment points. This chair has 4 points of adjustment in the arm rests. Wow. Just...wow. Of course that adjustability continues throughout the chair, from the headrest to the seat. The wheels are also an improvement over "general" computer chair fare. Not your usual "double roller plastic wheel" that breaks 6 months after you get the chair, this has some slick rollers that look like they were stolen from a pair of roller blades. The one fallback to the chair, however, is in the wheels...as in, none of them lock. To reach true "gaming chair Nirvana", not 1 or 2, but it's preferred that ALL wheels lock. Have you ever tried to use the pedals for a racing wheel while sitting in a chair that rolls around? Yeah. So while it's a fantastic chair for everything from typing to gaming, it only manages a 4 out of 5 in the "gaming chair" category because it lacks locking wheels. For everything else, this is a 5 out of 5 star chair all the way. A little "pro tip" if you're new to mesh chairs like this? The big secret on hot days is to put a fan behind your mesh chair, because it really helps keep your back / back side cool. You can sit in it all day and never get sweaty anywhere. This is by far my favorite chair that I think I've ever used. It's almost perfect in most metrics, from adjustability to comfort to overall utility. The only place it falls short of "sheer perfection" is in the gaming category, lacking lockable caster wheels. If you're looking for a chair to use with your racing wheel and your favorite racing sim / game, you may want to find a chair with locking wheels. Everyone else? Is going to love, love, love this chair. It's not the cheapest, but a quality chair should cost a bit more, shouldn't it? 5 stars. If they ever release a "hyper-gaming edition" of this chair with lockable caster wheels, that will be considered the "perfect chair". Be on the lookout for it. In the meantime, this is your chair. Right here.

This WellNewLife Ergonomic Chair has the potential to be a 5-star product, but unfortunately, several significant issues prevent it from reaching that mark. On the positive side, the chair is very comfortable, highly adjustable, and moves smoothly. Assembly is straightforward, thanks to clear instructions, and it offers excellent value compared to similar chairs at a higher price point. However, let's delve into the issues. Firstly, it's important to note that this is a re-listing. The original listing (ASIN B0C5HN4GVK) had an average rating of 3.5 stars from 190 reviews. Major complaints included 1) wheels falling off due to a vital part made of plastic, 2) the backrest not holding its position and sliding to the bottom, 3) a loose headrest that couldn’t be tightened because the nut for the screw was recessed in plastic and just spun, and 4) a report of the gas lift failing after four months. The company didn’t acknowledge this in the new listing. They could have said it was an improved version but they didn’t. It feels feels deceptive and, unfortunately, is. The company only addressed the wheel issue and re-listed the chair as a new product. However, the other problems remain unresolved. I encountered the backrest problem with the new listing, where it would just drop. The design is flawed; a lever to lock the backrest in place would be a simple fix. I contacted customer service, but despite early reviewers praising their service, recent reviewers (including myself) experienced no response. I emailed them twice and messaged through their website with no reply. The advertised 1-year warranty is meaningless if the company doesn’t support its product. Thankfully, Amazon accepted the return within 30 days and even picked it up from my house, though I had to disassemble it and pack it back into the original box, which was annoying. When the replacement chair arrived, I immediately checked the backrest, which worked fine this time. After reassembling the chair (again, easy but still a hassle), I encountered the headrest problem. It was loose, and the nut for the tightening screw spun around. Additionally, a section of the mesh on the headrest was loose, indicating it might fail soon (picture attached). I want to contact the company to swap the headrest, but with no customer service, I can’t. I do not recommend buying this chair unless you feel very lucky. Most of the other reviews for this new, deceptive listing seem to be from users who received the chair for free in exchange for a review, so their reliability is questionable. I’m keeping the chair only because I don’t want to disassemble and rebuild another one. I’m just hoping the problems don’t get worse…
