I live in an apartment and use this rug by my front door as one way to keep the carpet clean and from looking even older (probably a little nice for that). If you put it by a door, measure it before with the door open because it's thick enough that my door doesn't pass over it! The color kinda surprised me because I thought the lines would be black, but they're grey (now that I have the rug, the listings zoomed-in photos are obvious). I was worried about buying the wrong color rug so one like this/with neutral colors is safe, but the pattern still adds some excitement. Some of the fringe elongated and I had to even it out with scissors, but quite a bit of fringe is still intact. Feels soft, but I can still run my vacuum and carpet cleaner (which is heavy!) over it without damage. I think my dog likes playing with the rug because of how "fun" the fringe looks, but care for the rug like it cares for your place and it'll be good. ... show more
