I got 2 sets of these to light up my plant stand and they work great! I put them on the metal bar in the way I wanted, plugged them in and did my best to sync them up to match. Then 2 days later, I noticed that they were hanging and dropping in different places. The sticky wasn't sticking very well. So I pulled out the old trusty 2 sided gorilla tape and made those suckers stick. Been a couple months now and they have been on 24/7. No issues, still as bright as when I first got them. Remotes were easy to use, but I just had me and my son plug them in on the count of 3 and they started their basic color fading cycle, which is what I like, so no need to change anything. ... show more

Burned out less than 2 weeks after I put them on my tv. They were working perfectly fine, I hit the button to change the light to orange, and the shorted out. When I unplug them from the tv and plug back in, the blink for a second but I cannot get them to come back on. I’ve restarted the tv, I’ve plugged it into a different USB, nothing works. The remote feels cheap and flimsy but it works. For now. And it doesn't use AAA batteries but a 3V button type battery. The brightest white color setting appears as pastel blue/turquoise on a plain white wall and the overall illumination is rather weak. The specs on Amazon say it consumes 144 Watts of power. That is a typo. It really consumes 2-5 Watts. The app is a good alternative to the remote and has a nice color wheel for thousands of color variations. But small variations are not at all noticeable. It gets 3 stars for the very affordable price. The full front photo shows the "white" selection. That's really the color you see when you select white on either the remote or the app. The close up photo shows the purple selection. ... show more
