There are a couple other brands available for more, but this Weize 100Ah battery looks and performs very well. I bought two for emergency backup power to the run the furnace and fridge for a short time in a condo setting where gas generators aren't allowed. I would recommend these over flooded deep cycle as they're cleaner and more durable. Gel batteries won't handle high current and and there's not much information about hybrid gel batteries out there. Those seem like modified AGM batteries, but not sure of the pros/cons for the extra money. To protect my investments, also bought a trickle charger. The LiFePo batteries look superior, but I'm not cycling, and this is just for emergency backup. Just couldn't justify the price. Without the extra BMS circuitry, these AGMs should just "work" when I need them to. ... show more

VERY WELL PACKAGED. Being an AGM vs std lead acid battery i was concerned that i might need a new "Smart" charger. HOWEVER, ACCORDING TO WEIZE YOU DON'T NEED A SMART CHARGER if you charge per their instructions. This battery is much less affected (discharged) by cold weather than the Non AGM lead acid batteries I have used in the past. in terms of value, a comparable battery at the local auto parts store will cost 50 to 60 dollars more than the Weize. ... show more

Works and fits original size, however the two terminals have a gap I guess for protection from hood touching. This didn't help the ground negative wire connections and had to improvise but seems to be working ok. Not perfect as original due to the groves but works nevertheless and much cheaper then any autoparts store. ... show more

The battery was packed well with plenty of padding, an appropriately thick box, plastic terminal caps, and sufficient tape to keep it sealed up in transit. I have it one star for the "light weight" rating because, well, IT'S A CAR BATTERY. Of course it's not light weight. Construction quality appears great, however, and the battery slipped right into the spot of the od one. The outer case was almost exactly the same as that of the OEM battery. Does it work? Oh yeah. Takes just less than a second of cranking to fire-up the engine, and no more "low battery" warnings. Overall, I COULD have spent $200 or more on a battery, but with this one, didn't have to! In a world where lower prices often mean lower quality, it's great to find an exception to that rule. Would I buy it again? Definitely. ... show more

I have 4 of these for an invertor bank . They were all at 12.8, 12 9 volts when they arrived . Well packaged for shipping. Haven't tested them for hours under load yet, but they appear to be well built and are affordable
