I bought this at a 44% discount from it's original list price and for good reason but I only found out once I unpackaged the box. The cargo carrier comes in several pieces. The frame on one of the baskets was warped from the factory as you can see by the picture. This of course caused the cross brace holes not to align with the holes from the baskets. I had to drill the holes to make them bigger so the bolts could fit. Once that was done, I did a weight test and the cargo carrier seems solid and sturdy enough to hold it's 500 LBS capacity rating. For the price I paid, it's an excellent value but then again it turned into a bigger DIY project. Hopefully this cargo carrier will pay itself off after 1 or 2 trips I have planned. The included cargo bag, net and (2x) rachet straps is an added bonus.

Seems like great build quality. Just drove 700+ miles with no issues with 200 pounds on it. The instructions aren’t great. Specifically it doesn’t have anything about the plate that stabilizes the rack to the hitch, but I figured it out. Straps are great. I haven’t used the waterproof bag yet, but nice to have it. Looks like good quality. Much cheaper than the option at the local U-Haul store.

Amazing! Super easy to install! My husband was able to build it and install it by itself it is not heavy at all. It seems to be great quality and it worked for a 8 hour trip! And we were able to fit a big luggage and two carryons! I Highly recommend this product!

This was actually clutch. I bought this to store our luggage for a family of four on the roof of my Kia Soul. The soul fits 4 people comfortably enough, but the storage is limited with all of us in there. Like other roof attachments I’ve had, there was no shaking or bending of the bars, even after hours on the freeway. It was super sturdy.
