I was hesitant to install this myself as I’ve never even opened a laptop. The installation was super easy. There were a few steps I had to take for the laptop to read the new drive, but that was easy as well. So far, everything is working. I moved my games from my smaller drive to this new drive and everything loaded up quickly.I played for about an hour and no issues this far. This is perfectly good hard drive, but the picture both here and on the box is misleading. It appears to have a heat shield printed with the branding, but it doesn't. Fortunately my son's Dell laptop already had an empty heat shield for the 2280 form factor fastened into place with sealed adhesive ready to apply to this hard drive, but I chose this one over other similar drives because it appeared to have the nice looking branded heat shield. ... show more
