I own both the Dyson Airwrap styler and the Dyson Supersonic hair dryer, and while this diffuser attachment works fine, I definitely prefer the original diffuser that comes with the hair dryer. This one is noticeably heavier and can make longer styling sessions tiring. It does the job and fits securely, but it doesn’t cover as much hair at once, so drying takes a bit longer. It’s not a bad product by any means - it’s functional and does what it’s supposed to, but if you’re deciding between the two and have both devices, the lighter diffuser from the hair dryer might be the better choice for everyday use. Upd. That said, while writing this review, I realized that the smaller head means more concentrated heat in a smaller area - so for some people, especially those wanting to target specific sections or add definition, that could actually be a plus.

For the size this is really heavier than it needs to be. It doesn’t seem to handle the distribution of heat very well and it gets too hot. Because of this and weight, I find myself not wanting to use it.

This is my third Dyson off-brand attachment, and this one is a winner. The diffuser fits tightly into the Dyson and the plastic is excellent quality. It looks and feels identical to the name brand version. I mention this because I’m havubgbteobnke with a circling brush attachment that keeps coming off when removing my hair from the brush, which is almost unusable. Not the case at all with this diffuser! Now, I ordered it for the curling function, and it seems to work as intended. But my lifeless hair has a terrible time holding any curl, so I cannot speak to the effectiveness if the actual curl this can diffuser can produce. However, I CAN say that from what I observe, this will function exactly as effective as the original Dyson version. For a fraction of the price. The heat circles the inside of the bowl, and the same curling concept applies to this version. A HUGE benefit to this item is that for hair like mine that requires a lot of styling product to hold any curl, this design allows me to use whatever I want - even holding spray - before curling. While I normally would not gunk up a curling wand with hair spray, burning my hair, this diffuser concept allows the hair to just swirl inside the bowl (which is washable). So there is no need to leave cooked-on sticky hair spray residue on my curling wand! All in all, to me this appears identical to the original, and I give it five stars!

I have a knock-off dryer that looks and functions like the brand this diffuser was designed to fit. I wasn't sure if the attachment notches would fit my dryer but they do! Yay! I like the big bowl for setting waves in and preventing my wavy hair from going frizzy. The diffuser insert really limits the air pressure coming through it, so even when my dryer is blowing on its most powerful setting, what comes out of the diffuser is much, much softer. I wondered at first if there were some vents to be turned open to let more air flow through at one time. However, I think this soft flow of air is probably ideal to set in ringlet curls. I really like the very large bowl size when the insert is removed. I can fit a lot of my long hair inside at once.

This is an off-brand, non-Dyson attachment for a Dyson device. I gave it a try because it was free through Amazon vine. It fits well, but it doesn't do much. It diffuses the air but since the Dyson already does that pretty well, this mostly just weakens the air. And it gets really hot.
