The chairs arrived in great condition and were easy to assemble. The light gray fabric has a nice linen-like weave, and the legs are solid wood, so they have a high-quality look. We have received complements on them. They are comfortable and sturdy. These chairs worked perfectly in our space because we wanted a light gray color (most chairs seem to be beige), fabric upholstery (most seem to be vinyl), and had the dark espresso color wood legs. And unlike most Parson's style chairs, these have a lower height back so look better in a kitchen than a higher back. Since they are going to be used as kitchen chairs, we sprayed them with Scotchguard fabric protector and that didn't change the color or look at all. ... show more

These inexpensive chairs are great for my winter condo and are not sat upon much and look really great. I think if comfort and used daily, I’d look for a higher quality chair. The color blue was perfect to go with drapery. Easy to put together also

I had just about given up on the idea of finding quality dining chairs online until Amazon read my mind and recommended these by Watson & Whitely. I had already bought dining chairs online from other brands, tried them and returned them. And I had even shopped in-store at 5 mid-priced local furniture stores without finding something I liked. Other reviewers (thank you!) had commented about all of the things I wanted, so I took their advice, and I was thrilled the moment I opened the box. And now I'm adding to the glowing reviews about these chairs. My wish list included: COMFORT (soft & supportive); stylish; durable; sturdy; wipe-able...and affordable for a set of 4. These checked all my boxes. I am including a photo of the underneath side of the seat to show what is the #1 feature in my mind (and rear). Yes there is a nice thick foam pad, but it it not stretched over a stiff board. These straps and springs make all the difference in the world for comfort. So my kitchen dining area is small (my home is small :) ... And I purchased a table and chairs set (here on Amazon) of a look I wanted. I definitely wanted the table look but the chairs that cam with the set were metal, flimsy and really uncomfortable. So, I came back here to Amazon and looked for a more comfortable set of chairs and I found these. They arrived pretty quickly - yay. Now, I have a handyman I hire for projects like this. And his comment was "easy to put together". I didn't take him long - about an hour (maybe a little less). I have to say - these are really comfortable. When my friends come over - we like to eat at the table and now we can actually sit after we eat and talk for a while. Before we would have get up and move the living room. But, we have already scheduled a game night because he likes how comfortable the chairs are. yay! So, I say it is a win win! So worth the price and I think they look really nice with the faux wood table I got! I am super pleased! ... show more

Chairs look great and have very sturdy hardware but a big flaw. The front legs are held in place with two fasteners that go through ribs in the seat frame and directly into threaded inserts in the legs. The back legs are attached to a wood cross member that goes between them and forms the lower back of the chair. I cannot tell how the legs are attached to this board because it is under the upholstery. This board is then attached to the frame with 5 fasteners (probably overkill). The weak point is the hidden joint between the back legs and the cross member. We had this joint fail resulting in the chair becoming wobbly with only the upholstery holding the seat to the back. I solved this by driving 3” deck screws through the frame and directly into the back legs. ... show more
