  • Great quality, comfortable recliner!
Color: Dark Brown
I purchased two of these electric recliners. I’m a plus size woman, and this recliner is solid, sturdy, and extremely comfortable. The faux leather is thick, soft, and feels good. The cushioning is firm but comfortable. The button mechanisms to recline and adjust the leg and head rest work smoothly and easily. The chair leg can be raised slightly, or it can recline way back, depending upon how you want it to be. The headrest adjusts comfortably, too. I use a rechargeable battery to power my cgairs(purchased separately), and the battery stays charged for 2-3 months per charge. The chair itself is easy to assemble. There is a zipper to secure the backrest to the seat, and other reviewers said they struggled with the zipper. I was concerned about the zipper when I ordered, but it was not difficult to fasten when I put the chair together. The assembly is really quick and simple. I love the rich dark color of the chair. I love its comfort. I love its sturdiness and the solid feel of the chair. It looks and feels like a much, much more expensive piece of furniture—but the price is great! I highly recommend this chair if you have back issues, want a comfy chair to relax in, are plus size, and/or want great value for your dollar. ... show more

  • Like most people, I was very hesitant to buy a chair on Amazon. I've been pleasantly surprised.
Color: Dark Brown
I suspect that most people are very hesitant when considering the purchase of this chair or any furniture, for that matter, from Amazon. I sure was! The mechanism on my old manual recliner broke so I had to find a replacement. I read the reviews of numerous recliners on Amazon and most of them were not good. I kept coming back to this recliner because I liked the way it looked. But I always read the reviews and I make it a point to read the negative reviews because they often describe a deal-breaking issue with a product. Most of the reviews for this recliner were positive but there was an odd inconsistency in some, especially the negative reviews. I found it funny when I read the reviews by large people who said the chair is very large and then read negative reviews by small people who said the chair was WAY too small. If I remember correctly, one person even claimed in that nobody over 5' 7" could possibly fit in the chair. Again, if I remember correctly, they even exclaimed in capital letters that the chair is SMALL SMALL SMALL or TINY TINY TINY. So, how could a large person claim the chair is very large and a small person insist it's to small? I put off my decision for a while. In that time, I checked some websites for brick and mortar furniture stores in the area. The prices were insane! Most acceptable chairs of this type were $2,000.00 to $3,000.00! I like quality but that's simply too much. Also, I'm at the point where I absolutely hate to go to any physical stores these days with the exception of hardware stores like HD. (I love tools!) So, it was back to Amazon. Now, I should mention for reference that I'm 6' tall and about 250 pounds. The chair was delivered today. The box had damage on a couple sides including one large damaged side that was taped together so I took pictures of the box before opening it in case the chair was damaged. I'm not blaming the seller or manufacturer because the damage probably happened in transit. Fortunately, the chair had no damage and is in perfect condition. Assembly was straight forward. I see that some people said the zipper was difficult to zip up but we didn't have a problem with it. But, like some other reviewers mentioned, the talon for the zipper is on the inside not the outside which isn't a problem but it just seemed odd. It took ten or fifteen minutes to finish assembly. My first thought when the chair was assembled was, "This chair is BIG!" (So much for it being SMALL" or "TINY". I wonder if the person(s) who said the chair is very small reviewed the wrong chair. Also, as most Amazon shoppers probably know, reviews are often mixed together with different products so you don't know what product the review is for. In any case, the chair is not small, let alone tiny. I actually wanted a smaller chair because the place where it used is very tight. Side by side with my old recliner, this one is substantially larger. But perhaps the best way to describe it's size is to mention that when I sit in it, I have about 3 inches of empty space on each side of my body. And, again, I'm 6' tall and about 250 pounds. I actually wish it was smaller but it'll do fine. Another reviewer complaint was that their feet wouldn't touch the floor when the chair is upright. My legs are "normal" length for my height. I have a 32" inseam. My feet easily reach the floor even with just socks on. In fact, I can still plant my feet on the floor about 2 feet in front of the chair. It's perfectly comfortable. Of course, very short people may not be able to place their feet on the floor. I can only speak for myself but I'm mentioning this as a reference for people considering the purchase of this chair. I really was looking for a manual chair. I like the idea of keeping things simple and having less things to fail but I didn't find a manual recliner that I like. Also, the manual mechanism broke on my old chair because it was probably more complex than a motorized chair. I love to fix things but the way it broke it was unfixable. Quality: One reviewer said that the chair is top tier quality. Well, it isn't. Truly top tier recliners costs thousands of dollars. But the quality of this chair is very good. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality, in fact. And it's very comfortable contrary to at least one reviewer's complaint that it was incredibly uncomfortable and that the seat was like sitting on a board. That's simply not true. It's very comfortable, in my opinion. In fact, about an hour after I assembled it, I feel asleep in it. This chair is a very good value. Value is what I look for in most things I buy. And my five star rating is based on how I perceive the value of this chair. The leather is good but not the greatest. It's not the very thick whole grain leather that you see on very expensive furniture but it's as good or better than most leather furniture. Only a very picky leather lover accustomed to very high-end (expensive) furniture would probably be disappointed with the leather of this chair. So, for most people, leather quality of this chair is not an issue. Speaking of leather, very often I see people who obviously think Top Grain leather is the best. They complain when a leather product they purchased was said to be "top grain" but what they received was low-quality leather. Actually, top grain leather is one of the worst leather grades. It's a misleading term that the leather industry uses, probably intentionally. So, if you're buying leather products, do yourself a favor and go online and look up what the different leather grades are. Again, Top Grain leather is almost at the bottom, quality wise. Full grain leather is the really good grade. There are other grades in-between. Become informed before buying leather goods. Now, I can't say for sure if the entire chair is real leather. Faux leather has become so realistic that it can be hard for anyone but an expert to tell the difference. That said, I suspect that maybe the back and side panels are faux leather (pleather). But, if that's the case, it's no problem. It's well done and those aren't wear areas anyway. Then again, it may be all real leather. In any case, most people will be very happy with it. The motors are smooth and quiet. Now, if there was one thing I would like to be different beside the size of the chair - and this is such a minor thing that I hesitate to even mention it - is that I wish the back and the footrest could be controlled independently. The way it works is as you press the button to recline the chair, the footrest starts rising up alone. Then, at some point, the back starts to recline as the footrest continues to rise. They are locked together in their cycle. The reason I wish they could be controlled independently is that. at some angles of recline, I wish I could lower the footrest a bit. But that may just be me. I have very tight tendons behind my knees and the chair is very slightly uncomfortable for me at certain recline positions. It's fine in most positions and when in full recline. On the other hand, maybe those slightly uncomfortable (and I stress "slightly") positions may be therapeutic for me in that they may help to stretch my tight tendons. Bottom line: I recommend this chair as a very good value. I would also take some of the complaints with a grain of salt because they are simply untrue, in my opinion. The chair is not SMALL or TINY by any stretch of the imagination. Nor is it only made for very small people or children, and the seat is not as hard as a board. I'm very happy with our purchase and I think I'll go sit in it after I post this review and I'll probably fall asleep in it. BTW, my wife is very happy with it too. ... show more

  • A nice chair to chillax in
Color: Saddle Brown
The chair is comfortable and easy to use. I like that it has both a USB A and USB C charging port. The leather is good quality however it's a little orangier than I'd like. Not a biggie, would buy again. I love that it was delivered not only to my door but inside the door.

  • Genuine leather power recliner great value great quality
Color: Grey
I purchased a Watson and Whiteley gray power leather recliner on December 28. My experience with Watson and Whiteley was one of the best online purchase experiences I've ever had. The recliner was perfectly packed to travel the distance from California to Florida tolerating ship handling well. It was easy to unpack, assembly was very easy and accomplished in 20 minutes. This is a genuine all leather recliner with a USB-C port. The leather is gorgeous, the power mechanism is smooth quiet and quick. The adjustable headrest is a bonus for an avid reader. This is a comfortable chair that sits firm but is still plush and supports the lower lumbar. I look forward to many years of relaxation with this recliner. If you're looking for a great value and a high-quality product, I highly recommend you look at Watson and Whiteley for your next purchase. ... show more

  • My back is so happy!
Color: Cream
Very happy! My recliner arrived well-packed and on time. It’s very comfortable—firm but not like a board. The power headrest is a must-have—it means you don’t have to strain you neck if you want to watch TV or talk to someone while reclining. I’m 5’10” and my feet do hang over the end of the footrest, but I have yet to see any recliner in which that was not the case, so I don’t think that’s a problem. You can make a footrest go out only so far I read some reviews that talked about the zipper, connecting the back to the seat being difficult to zip, but either the manufacturer has changed the layout, or the individuals noting that issue did not read the directions before assembling the recliner. The zipper was very easy to zip and the tab is on the side of the zipper facing you so there’s no difficulty. Finally, this is not a gigantic chair—thankfully! It looks streamlined and not much bigger than a regular upholstered chair, but it is plenty big enough for large people (including those of us who have large frames and aren’t as svelte as we once were. I’m very happy with this recliner and give it a big thumbs up! ... show more
