We now have four (4) of these pads and they are amazing for puppies, and many other things. As you can see in the photos, a big litter can make a mess, especially overnight like the in the picture. Even with this amount of mess, these pads wash up like new every time. They are perfect during the first few weeks as they completely cover the bottom of the whelping pen. They swap out easily and keep the floor dry. As the puppies get older, we put these pads down in a larger pen and as you can see, it provides a central location for the mess as the puppies train themselves to "go" on the pads, so the rest of the pen is clean. They also make excellent outdoor pads for lawns, beaches or parks. We use them in the car for our dogs to protect the seats and carpeting as they are incredibly durable and so far, puncture resistant with their claws. We highly recommend them for whelping, but you will find much more utility with them.

This mat is amazing. With a new puppy you can go the disposal route or reusable. I tried the disposable and unfortunately with the teething phase they got torn to shreds or I had to put 3 down in a pile hoping he made it on one if not all of them. This changed the game. I ordered 2 the first time to rotate every 48 hours. After 48 hours of him doing his business and flipping his water bowl on it the wood underneath is still dry. He did start to make a hole in one which I figured would happen with a baby shark right now so just reordered another two to have ready while we wait for his last puppy shots to be able to take him outside to use the restroom. Only issue is it takes forever to dry on low I’ve finally given up and put it on medium, it can be washed in warm water so figured warm heat to dry would be ok. Went from drying on low 4 times and still hanging up to dry with the fan on it down to one dry cycle on medium heat.

This does what it's supposed to and has been holding up great, I do enjoy the fact that it's nice and big. However, I also bought mats from four other Amazon sellers just to compare products, and this one is by far the stiffest, heaviest, and bulkiest of them. It makes washing very difficult and drying ridiculously daunting. I have to put this through the dryer for three hours straight for it to get dry - taking it out every half hour or so to fold the waterproof side back in the middle so the absorbent side can be exposed. UGH! What a task. But it works; one of my girls decided to leave a cow-pie-sized poop in the middle of it, and emptied her bladder as well - and nothing at all reached the blankets I have layered underneath. I don't recommend using just this mat alone if you are whelping puppies on it or else you'll end up with swimmers (a deformity that causes flat chests and legs that go out to either side) due to the hardness of the floor beneath. You definitely need to put some padding under there. But this mat is good for protecting all my other blankets and throws I use for building up a soft layer for the newborns. It definitely has stood up to the test of keeping the dirt, smell, and moisture from bleeding through. And so far it's holding up and looks like new after several washes. It's sort of a pearlescent blueish slate color, which is pretty.

It is absolutely worth the money! I live in an apartment with carpet so I was scared my new puppy would reek havoc on it. I bought the pee blanket and it 100% does it's job. It's lightweight, just cloth, it's not plastic or anything else. But that means it's machine washable! I will say it's bulky to wash and has kind of kept some stains possibly, but I'm still ordering another one! It so easy to throw out of the box and lay down under a crate/playpen. I will say, I can see exactly where my puppy has gone to the bathroom, like it sits on top of the mat. But the liquid does not go through to the other side, which is it's exact job! And I actually appreciate the nice gray color, that doesn't stand out or look terrible in the surroundings. My only problem is needing 2 of them so I can put another down while I wash the first, to get rid of smell!

I have a 9mth miniature long hair dachshund and a 9yr old yorkie terrier mix. I purchased the 72x72 reusable dog pad for traveling to use under my fur babies playpen. My new puppy likes to turn her water bowl over and this pad has proven its absorbency time and time again. Even with her accidents, the pad is easy to wash, but drying is another story. It is hard to dry the pad, but it’s not a deal breaker. I take it to the laundry and put it in one of the larger washers and I also dry it. No tears or breakdown in the material at all. My puppy has started to chew on the pad creating two small holes, but that’s just puppy behavior. I will be purchasing another smaller pad and I highly recommend this dog pad to all owners that travel with their fur babies and don’t want to ruin the carpet or flooring in hotels or other vacation rentals.

These are the absolute best pads to use for house rabbits. They're nice, sturdy, water resistant, and heavy enough that the rabbits can't scratch them off the ground. I had purchased a different brand and the rabbits were able pull them into a pile, exposing the floor below. I won't waste my money on other pads again.
