We actually bought this house for our 2 blue heelers. But, before we could even use it, our female had a litter of pups. When they got too big for our whelping box in the house, we decided this would be a great place for them to live outside until we could find homes for them. My husband and son-in-law built a pen, of sorts, to go around it. Worked out perfectly. The pups actually house-broke themselves living in it. They would never go poddy in the house or on the deck. They would run out into the 'yard' area and go poddy. So, when we gave one to our daughter at 7 weeks old. She kept him in the crate when not at home and at night when he was sleeping. But, as soon as he had to go poddy during playtime in the house, he went straight to the door and whimpered to go outside. Lol... Love this doghouse! Very easy to clean and access while the pups were inside. Gave them good shelter in bad weather. Only note is that the wood is pretty thin so if you have very large heavy dogs or a chewer, it might not hold up. But, otherwise, for us it is working out great. :) ... show more

We received the dog house today and it looks like a great house but there was two long woods that go attached to each side of one of the boards and both woods were broken. We did not want to return it because it takes too long to get another one and our two dogs are in so much need for a dog house this winter. Also, it did not come with any instructions. We will manipulate the broken side woods and replace them with new ones. The dog house cost a good amount where all items should reviewed before sending out so items be in tack and not defective. ... show more

This dog house was expensive for the quality that it is!! It started breaking apart after 5 months!!! Don't waste your money on this. The floor is breaking, the roof broke off, and the side is breaking into pieces!!! Not sturdy whatsoever!!!

To say this is poor quality is an absolute understatement. The wood is thin, cracks easily, poorly painted, poor attempts to fill cracks prior to painting, fit of parts is horrific and although assembly is fairly easy the engineering around the assembly is awful. The only good thing I can say about this P.O.S is that it looks good from about 50 feet away. Other than that save your money. This thing is way overpriced for the quality. ... show more

The review To start off the packaging is sub par. Surprisingly the damage to the parts inside was not terrible. See photos to see cracked wood and parts broken of. Wood glue fixed most and had to re attach a part. Now for the instructions. These are a joke, there’s only drawings with no order of what to do at each step or How to orientate each piece. The roof hinges are on wrong, remove before putting on the roof. You get guess where most the parts go thru almost every step The drawings they give you do not match the parts, it’s a guessing game Bonus included is a small bag of parts (wood dowels) not even used in the assembly. It looks good when done but expect 4-5 hours of assembly with help mainly due to the terrible instructions. ... show more

It arrived very quickly. I was surprised that both of my dogs went in right away. It is very attractive and will probably hold up well. I recommend putting cedar wood shavings in for extra comfort and flea control. Very very attractive dog house that I highly recommend.
