Keep in mind this washes very heavy and holds water from the washing machine. Dryer will need to do more work to get all the extra water out.

I tested out the waterproof-ness of the mattress pad as soon as I got it & the underside remained completely dry. This is for my 10 year old’s bed - 12” mattress and with the extra room I’m confident it would accommodate a deeper 16” mattress. I literally spent hours trying to find photos of one that actually shows it’s 100% waterproof. They all claim to be but I wanted to see it with my own eyes. Since there were none on here I decided to go ahead and order it. I hope my photos show the next viewer that it is 100% waterproof. It doesn’t sound crinkly like the others and the bamboo material makes the top really soft. I don’t like the feeling of terry cloth under my sheets so this will be perfect.
