    • Exactly what I needed
I have a Whirlpool water softener. They are easily repairable by the customer, with a little guidance from a knowledgeable tech. My water wasn't being softened, so I called Whirlpool. I noticed that there was a lot of water coming out of the drain line of the water softener, so Whirlpool told me I needed this kit, because the huge amount of water indicated leakage. (I also needed a Rotor Position Switch.) When the parts arrived, I installed them - it was very easy to do so - and my problem was solved. That was seven months ago, and the softener has worked perfectly since that time. So not only is this a good review for this kit, but also for Whirlpool, for the excellent and knowledgeable help they give you whenever you call. Whirlpool is not the fanciest softener on the market, but it performs well; and if it breaks, Whirlpool will help you fix it so that you can have a long time of good service from it.     • My water softener drain used to drip, now it doesn't.
I wasn't sure exactly which part needed to be replaced. I had tried cleaning it a few times. I was a little nervous spending this much money. What if it doesn't fix the problem, or what if I mess up the softener? I'm super happy to report that it worked. I had no directions to follow. You can find a parts blowup of the softener online, but there are very few youtube videos about this particular softener. Basically, just open it up and take pictures along the way. it's pretty common sense if you can take your time and think it through. But yeah, it totally works. Other than the motor, this is probably replacing all the parts that could wear out, so it's close to brand new. ... show more

    • Seal replacement successful but no instructions
I had noticed the drain tube leaking. This had increased over time and needed to be repaired. This seal kit was an exact replacement and was reasonably easy to install. Although a bit pricey it fixed the problem completely. I would give it the full 5 stars but the kit did not include instructions which would have made things much easier. It would also be helpful if you could find the instructions as a PDF on line but that has also been problematic. ... show more

    • Perfect kit to bring water softener back to life
My water softener was leaking small amounts of water from the top, and also was having errors that I was unable to reset. Upon inspection it was wet and scaly at the top of the tank and it seemed clear the seals were leaking. I used this kit along with a new switch and new roller and basically rebuilt the top end. This kit had every seal needed and it was really easy to tell which one went where, and I had it apart and back together in about 20 minutes. It has run now for a couple of weeks with no errors and no leaks. Overall a really good way to extend the life of my softener and I highly recommend this kit to fix any leaks in your water softener. ... show more

A few days ago I noticed a small leak or a seeping of water from the head assembly of my Whirlpool WHES40 water softener and the water was not getting as soft as it used to. So a new 40,000 grain water softener costs about $500.00. This kit costs $90.00 and took less than an hour to install. The softener works likes new. Whats not to like? The instructions that came with the kit were as good as can be expected for written instructions but there are a number of YouTube videos showing how to install this kit.     • bought 2 kits, both Defective
I installed this kit to stop a small leak from the top o-ring. The o-rings are fine but I found that the rotor seals in this kit are too thick/defective and will cause the salt bin to fill up. I bought a second set and it did the same thing. They also put more strain on the motor as it attempts to turn the rotor against the extra pressure of the gaskets. I found this out by measuring the thickness of the rotor seals in the new seal kits and compared them to measurements of seals in a valve that worked fine and had no leaks. ... show more

I am very well satisfied with the parts that I ordered. The only problem I had with the first order was I didn't get what was advertised. I think whoever packaged the first order didn't know what they were doing.
