Set up is simple, easy, and takes about 45 minutes. Pump works very quietly. Timer does not work; this is a problem noted by other buyers. You will need an outlet timer, or you can run the pump continuously. Manufacturer unable to solve the problem, but did provide timely and helpful suggestions. The pump and accompanying by-pass valve is so superior to other pumps on the market; you don't buy this for the timer, it's the pump that counts. I have solved the timer issue with a $6 outlet timer (just leave the switch on the pump in the "ON" position. Works better than expected

I just installed the Wasserman. IT WORKS GREAT! It took about 15 minutes to install the pump on top of the water heater. The sensor under the sink took about 40 minutes just because you have to think through how to mount the sensor. It would have been nice if it had come with a mounting bracket. In the end, I didn't mount it. It is just kinda hanging there. I particularlly like the temperature adjustability of the sensor compared to sensors without that feature. I get hot water within a few seconds compared to a few minutes. It is rated at 36 watts so I'm leaving it on 24/7 for now. So far, so good!

Why did you pick this product vs others?: First the plus - the bypass valve is great. Very solid. Well designed. Leakage: The pump design is lousy. The fitting for the water heater attaches with a snap ring. The fitting popped off when I turned the supply line water on after installation. Water went everywhere and the snap ring got wedged in the fitting. I bought a second one thinking maybe I tried to tighten it too much, but the fitting on the second one popped off as well, before I could even complete the install. I was able to snap it back on, but I absolutely do not trust it. It's a poor design. If you install this, you're risking flooding your house. I don't think there is any way to make this work. Additional Info: I reached out to Wasserman at their web site and they were very responsive regarding this issue. They are working on an updated design to fix the problem. I'm bumping up the stars due to the customer service from Wasserman, but I still believe the pump still isn't usable in it's current design iteration. I'm looking forward to seeing the updated design because overall, this was a good value and otherwise well-made if they can get the fitting design revised.

I recently bought an older home where it was difficult to get hot water without running the water for a long time. The solution was installing a recirculation pump. I now have hot water on demand! This pump is on a timer, so that allows hot water to be delivered only during times when i need it the most. An excellent purchase that also saves water and money.

The media could not be loaded. I've been using the pump for months now and it works perfect. However it is quite loud! I put insulation on the pipe going into the house and it's still rings throughout the house. So I set it up to run all the time and then plugged it into a smart plug. Now before we shower or use the far bathroom, we say "okay Google shower". I programmed that to turn on the pump for 3 minutes.
