  • Excellent!
This is a device that cures hot water delay and does it very well saving you gallons of water at minimal operating cost!!! The above pretty much summarizes the whole idea! You install this pump on your hot water heater. You install a bypass valve on your furthest sink from the water heater. You adjust the thermostat and you have near instant hot water! The whole installation process take less than 45 minutes. Everything is included, and the install is very easy. Any homeowner can do it with basic tools as it is very simple! The pump comes with an electric cord that is about 15.5' long to plug to an outlet. It is very efficient, super quiet and has a multiple time on/off timer, no need to run at odd times. If you have an outlet within 15' of your water heater you just plug it in. If not you either use an extension or simply generate an 115 Volt outlet from the electric box of your heater. By the way, something that is not clear on the description of the product. This is designed to fit 3/4 water lines (as most heaters are) and while the wording is confusing (see picture) the valve body must be installed vertically (face up/down not horizontally). The instructions say do not mount the motor shaft in the vertical position refer to the shaft from the timer, not the venturi valve.... IN ANOTHER WORD, SIMPLY ATTACH THE MOTOR ON THE VERTICAL HOT PIPE THAT COMES OUT OF YOUR WATER HEATER. All you need to do after the install is adjust the timer on the pump and simply adjust the thermostat on the bypass valve. It circulates the water and you get near instant hot water anytime the pump is running! The money savings on water loss can add up. The pump runs on pennies, not only your savings are vast, but now your dishwasher and washing machine will actually have hot water when they need hot water! Your shower does not need to run until the hot water comes, it will be there! A wonderful device that aids to your comfort and saves you money doing it! ... show more

  • great
the distance from my hot water heater to my faucets is by way of new york - and I live on the west coast - needless to day you turn on the water the night before and still have to wait 10-20 minutes - yeah takes forever - and before you're calling me dishonest it takes 1 minute 45 seconds to get from cold/ambient to 'too warm to hold hand in' (though not yet to full temp) - mind you it's an island install and lots of in/out of ground piping and attic runs this is great - makes it so the hot water gets too hot in 1 minute 10 seconds - kidding - just seeing if you're paying attention! Yeah this still takes some time to heat to full but the maintained temp is quite usable - and not long to full hot (tho I've not timed it - don't care if it's hot enough) it does waste/cost to run (pump, wasted heat energy, and reheating) - but you can 'schedule' the time the pump works (like if you get ready between 5a and 530a can come on early to have your hot water ready and then shut off - of course you still get hot water when not in use and of course you also now have 'hot' water in your cold pipe (that's the recirculation path) - so you don't want to set the bypass temp (when it closes) too high basic use: hot water heater - pump on top - supplies to bypass at faucet - when hot enough the bypass thermostatic valve closes - eventually it cools to reopen - but also has a check valve to prevent cold from reversing - the pump shuts off when there's no flow available (tstat valve closed) - the pump is also on a mechanical timer the mechanical timer of course uses a bit of electricity when not off good luck ... show more

  • High quality kit...
A few years ago I purchased this exact Wassermann kit with my own money. It has worked flawlessly ever since. The pump is high quality and doesn't take much power. I put it on a smart plug and automated it to run for a minute with the click of some buttons around the house or by voice activation. Within that one minute, there is hot water to all the sinks in my house since I have used this kits sensor valve as well as others at all the water sources in my home. The pump will make a great backup in case the one I purchased myself should ever fail. But I don't see that happening anytime soon. ... show more

  • Greatly Reduces Water Waste!
This recirculation pump kit has been a game-changer for our household. Installation was straightforward, thanks to the clear instructions and well-designed components. The 304 stainless steel bypass valve feels durable and high-quality. We're now getting hot water almost instantly at our furthest faucet. This has significantly reduced the amount of water we waste waiting for it to heat up. The pump operates quietly and efficiently. I highly recommend this system for anyone looking to improve their hot water access and conserve water. ... show more

  • Well built
The material and components appear to be of good quality. This type of pump and value is a pretty easy install as it doesn’t need a separate return line. Since it uses the cold water line as the return line the side effect is that your cold water will be warmer than usual. Depending on how your toilets are plumbed this could also mean a little warmer water going to them. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing. Using the cold water line as the return line eliminates the need to run a separate return line but running a separate return like would eliminate warm water mixed in with the cold water. It has a mechanical timer but I am going to try using a home automation type of outlet so that I can control the pump with more precision. When I am on vacation I don’t want the pump to kick in. ... show more

  • Heavy duty recirculation pump. Saves water, and the timer feature saves energy.
This recirculation pump is solid and heavy duty! It uses convenient threaded connections which appear to be stainless steel. I really like the timer function, so it operates only during daylight hours, and saves energy through the night. The bypass valve is very clever, allowing the temperature to be set at the point-of-use. Uses a standard 110VAC plug to avoid any costly electrical work. Great value for a pump of this size and solid construction! ... show more
