I got this for my JBL ultimate and I own a total of 4 now. Connecting them is seamless and easy and the extra lights really add a lot to any party / ambiance. only "downside" is that they only last a few hours on a full charge. Good news is that they can still connect and communicate with each other and the speaker even if they are plugged in. I will say that while 2 is cool I feel as if you need 4 to really make it stand out. Once you have 4 it gives you the stage mode option and that's where these really start to shine. 4 can get pricey so I will say this. 2 if you are just hooking it up somewhere in your house / occasional backyard party. 4 If you are hosting a larger get together at a medium sized venue. The don’t work with the PartyBox 710! You have to use the built in mic to get them to kinda work with the 710. Even then, it’s sad to say the least.

These things come packaged great and look like they have an amazing building quality. Main shortcomings are: brightness for anything other than dark indoors; and battery life (2ish hours or less in the real world). the music interaction is almost zero and realistic battery time is 2.5 hours that being said I do like the show, you must have four lights and one of the JBL PartyBox speakers to really get the maximum effect. during the daylight I turn the backlight on and brightness to high , runs 2.5 hours at night you can turn the backlight off and brightness to 50% for 5-6 hour run time if you turn brightness to 10% with no backlight they will run the advertised time they will work while being charged I gave them a four because jbl put a WEAK battery in it I have eight of them lol ... show more
