Easy to set up with the peel and stick backing. I wish the light were brighter, but it does the job. I bought one for myself, and ordered several for my 90 year old mother. I put one on her refrigerator so that when she makes her way into the kitchen at night to get water, it lights just enough for her to make her way to the fridge door. I also put on on the wall in her hallway, near the floorboard. This way it lights up when she leaves her bedroom to cross the hall to her bathroom, and illuminates the floor nicely. Mine was for my fridge door as well, because the light switch for my kitchen is in an awkward spot. I just want to be able to get to the fridge and have it light my way a little bit, which it does. My kitchen faces a busy street, and I wondered if the fridge, now with a motion light on it, would go off every time a person walked by outside or a car drove by outside. It doesn't. It just lights up when I walk into the kitchen. Not as bright as I'd like, but enough to let me grab some water or snack without turning on the entire kitchen light.

I bought this to replace an old PIR nightlight in my bedroom that was damaged. It works in a similar fashion, except that the old one did not detect visible light and would turn on whenever it detected the heat of a person. When I installed the Sunnior lamp, I had a moment of apprehension when the PIR did not seem to work. As soon as I darkened the room, all was well. Perhaps a note when the instruction sheet is reprinted would save someone else this problem, and might even reduce returns of a properly working product. I also mounted the unit to a bookcase using 3M Command hook-and-loop fasteners instead of drilling into the furniture. These have a release feature that leaves no residue. I found the main lamp to be very good, and the two down-pointing leds to be useful. I have just gotten the product, so cannot comment on the longevity of the batteries or of the unit itself, but my initial impression is that it is an attractive and useful lamp. Added Comment: After using this for a few days, I am very pleased with it. It is brighter than than the one it replaced, and is exactly what I wanted.

I ordered one and installed it center in our stairwell about 6’ above the stair tread. Unfortunately the motion sensor didn’t pick up until I was right at it (so halfway down stairs before it went on). So I ordered a second one (and uninstalled the first) and mounted one near the top and one near the bottom of the stairs and both about 2’ish above the tread. Fortunately installation is easy (used the short screws). Works fantastic now. It is set for the low level light, but provides plenty of light to see the stairs at night. 4 stars because I don’t feel the description was accurate enough and I had to buy a second one to make it work in my space. But I really do like the product and three months later they have the original batteries I installed, and they are still just as bright. When I purchased, the box it came it reads ‘wall scone’ (not sconce)…

We like to keep a night light on in the bathroom for those middle of the night trips. Our bathroom light is connected to the loud vent fan and the only outlet in the room, so we needed to improvise. We found this battery powered, modern design with motion sensing, and it's PERFECT!! We keep the door slightly closed, so the light instantly comes on when you push the door open. I must speak to the title of my review... I installed this light in the afternoon when it was still light out. At first, I was disappointed because the light would not come on when I waved my hand in front of it. This is because it needs to be dark for the motion sensor to work. Before buying this product, I read the reviews and even watched a video that made me skeptical. I am happy I bought it, though. It is a bit brighter than a nightlight, and it stays on for a good 30 seconds before turning off. It is very sensitive to motion, so you don't have to do jumping jacks in front of it for it to switch on. I highly recommend this product.

Latest/Last Update: The seller, who was very communicative & responsive, did get back to me, but was asking me not to return the light to Amazon, that they would refund the cost and send me a free replacement for all of my trouble with both my original purchase & replacement. However, within those emails, they were also using verbiage that stated sellers cannot refund your purchase, so I just kind of continued reading the emails with my head tilted and a bit of a "huh" going through my head. In the end, both my original defective light, and then the replacement defective light were returned to Amazon and Amazon issued an advanced refund for the originally purchased light (the replacement was at no cost to me). It is a shame, it's a great looking light esthetically, one of the nicest I've seen or been able to find on Amazon, and when it's on has a super perfect nice bright light for my apartment hallway outside of my front door, but unfortunately, it's the motion detector/sensor that I need and that was the defect in both the original & replacement unit. And, I genuinely have no idea what the seller was contradictorily saying in their messages w/me (will refund the cost and send you a free unit, followed by sellers cannot refund your purchases). I don't "not" recommend this light, it is very nice looking and the light itself is the perfect brightness, and even has a dimmable option, but I can't recommend it either due to all I've shared. Many people have purchased it w/out this issue (some w/this issue), so if you're one of the lucky ones who gets a fully functioning unit, I'd say it's a great motion sensor light. Update a few days later: My original light was defective (motion detector/sensor not working). Amazon offered a no cost replacement w/return of the first one. I received the replacement and the motion detector on this second one doesn't work either! Imagine? I am; however, working with the seller who's aware of this defect on older units, has fixed the issue on new units, seems eager to make this right and has been communicative and very nice to correspond with, so I'm hoping they'll make this right and will update my review based upon what happens next. Original Review: I'm a bit baffled. Everything works well, power button, the settings of the power button (bright, bright w/side LED lights, dim, etc.,); however, the motion detection doesn't seem to work at all, and I can't get it to turn on at all unless I hit the power button, which is "on" not turning on (or off) due to motion. If anyone's encountered this and knows what I may have missed, what's wrong, or if it should be working, I'd welcome the response. Thanks a bunch.
