Not sure why I waited so long. I used this kit for the first time to wax my snowboard before a trip to Keystone. Watched 2 different YouTube videos which taught me everything I needed to know. I put nearly 5 hours of actual ride time and nearly 44 miles over 3 days, and it looks like it did when I first waxed it. Always in the past, after a couple hours of riding, and after a "professional" waxing, it would start to show wear. Never pay some kid to do a quick/poor job of waxing your board again. Great iron and tools. Very efficient. The wax smelled amazing but performed average which was rectified when I ordered the wax I normally use. Other than that 0 complaints.

Bought this kit to start tuning my own board this season to save money. So far it's been great as I've done enough YouTube research to utilize pretty much everything in the kit. A few things that have come up so far: 1) The plastic scraper will get dull pretty quick, but you can use the stick file to sharpen it. There's a YouTube video on how to do it. 2) I find myself mostly using the Brass brush pre wax, and nylon brush post wax, haven't had much use for the boar hair brush yet in my routine. 3) I splurged and got the 3 pack of diamond stones separately from this same brand as well. I was hoping they would fit in the white edge tool but they did not so I have to use them free hand. In the future I would recommend someone buying the whole diamond stone kit with the black edge tool instead of getting just the stones. 4) I think the fine grade scotch pad in the kit that I use for the final buff on my board will wear down pretty quick based on my use of it so far. So I'm already looking at options to buy another few of them separately before it wears down too much. Other than that, this is a great kit for the price! ... show more

Great kit for a do it yourself ski tuner. Only knock one star because the temperature control on the iron isn't great. Have to play with it to get it to the right setting and it doesn't seem to correlate with the markings around the knob.

Bought this to learn a new skill. Been snowboarding for 30+ years and had never tuned or waxed my own board. Watched a few videos on YouTube and used this kit. This kit has everything you need to do a quality wax and tune. Very happy with the results.

End of season now so I needed a good set to give my gears a good wax for storage. This set is good if you're lazy and don't have time to research individual part. I think it's good value for the set but if you want something that does better job, definitely upgrade the brushes. I have bigger hands and the brushes don't have strap to help with the grip. Also , I wish this set comes with the scrapper sharpening. That thing is a game changer. ... show more

Great product. Just started waxing the family's snowboards myself this year. It has saved me a ton of money! I also feel like I've done a better job than some of the flunkies at my local shop. It took me 2 board's 2 feel like I had it right, but after that it's a cake walk. When you want it done right you've got to do it yourself 👍edge tuner is a little tricky ( YouTube it) but when you get it your edges will be cutting through that icy stuff no problem. Wax iron is small and compact only complaint would be where the temp control is located. It's in a tight spot. Other than that demon has put out an amazing product. QUIT THINKING ABOUT IT AND BUY IT!!!! ... show more

    • Could have better instructions, edge tuner could be better...
It got the job done but the instructions are incredibly sparse, and the URL reference for more just takes you to the commercial site. Instructions reference tools by number, but the sheet of tools does not have the numbers so you really don't know what you have. Of course there's lots of general info out there, but it would nice if there were instructions that described the optimum job with this kit. It came with 3 different flat files/stones that I really don't know what there purpose is. The edge tuner didn't work great for the bottom edge,only the sides. It came with no rubber bands for brake retainers. Temp numbers on iron and on wax would be nice. Like I said it got the job done. But a few more sheets of paper and few basic items that doesn't send you stealing your wife's hair ties would have made it much better. ... show more
