So I bought this for my work desk and it exceeded my expectations. For one it's light weight. I'm 5'2 and was able to carry it. It's quiet as I was hoping it was not loud since I work in a quiet office. And it feels great on your feet. It's easy to add the oil and a very easy to move around. I take it home on the weekends as it fits in my 4 door sedan in the back seat. I highly recommend this. It works as well without a desk but you just won't have anything to hold onto. So this pad works good! I love the features that it has, such as the distance walked and amount of calories burned. It's a tad noisy but gets the job done. I will say that it stained my carpet black, so definitely keep it on a harder surface. That being said I had a great time using it.
