  • Worth every penny!
Pattern Name: Ear Bud Rope Style: Standard
AMAZING! I bought these and the more expensive blue tooth pair. These work wonderfully! We shoot trap for hours. I bought them because it's hard to hear everyone talk with normal plugs, but not having anything hurts my ears. These are great! I put the wire in my ponytail or hair clip. They stay in really well. The bluetooth ones are still too loud for me at the lowest setting? These are perfect. Battery lasts all day while on. The Bluetooth ones wire causes static rubbing sound but these don't. The only thing I would change is smaller sizes, and the wind is really loud on a super windy day but that's all. Worth every penny! ... show more

  • Fitting is everything.
Pattern Name: Ear Bud Rope Style: Standard
Used them first time at an Appleseed rifle event. After years in electronic muffs, they take some getting used to. Have to put them in just right. Early in the day I hated them, then started to appreciate them more after lunch. The controls are easy and I remembered to power them down at every break. I will give more feedback as I use them more, but now I can wear my boonie hat on the range for additional sun protection. ... show more

  • Nice ear protection on the range.
Pattern Name: Ear Bud Rope Style: Standard
I was resistant to give these a try but ended up pleasantly surprised. Provides solid ear protection on the range while allowing for conversation. Conversations are not quite as loud and clear as with the full earmuff style ones I have owned in the past. But these get the job done and are comfortable for several hours of use. ... show more

  • It feels like you're not wearing anything.
Pattern Name: Ear Bud Rope Style: Standard
An absolute failure as hearing protection. Dampens noise about as much if not less than my earbuds. The only way you can get any semblance of protection is jamming them into your ears so hard it hurts and that's still not much. On top of that it picks up wind noise really bad (which is an easy fix they were worth using). I'll see if there's a way to rig triple flange ear tips to make them somewhat useful. Absolutely not worth the price. ... show more

  • NOT a rope connection
Pattern Name: Ear Bud Rope Style: Standard
they were comfortable and thats about where the good part ended. I chose the NON bluetooth, but there is constant static, the louder you make the ambient noise, the more static you get and the wind noise increases as well... the WORST part is that if you aren't paying attention, the description says rope connection, but the regular version is NOT and it's a vinyl plastic that grabs your shirt and the gun when mounting and will pull out of your ear or tug on your shirt and is not a good design. My buddy got the actual rope one and he had NO issues with his set. ... show more

  • Work Really Well
Pattern Name: Ear Bud Rope Style: Standard
I waited to review these until I had really, I mean REALLY used them. I'm outdoors a lot and I shoot lots of handguns at targets of opportunity, namely hogs. That is the very reason I bought these, I wanted to be able to walk through the pasture and hear everything around me, yet be able to fire my revolvers without (further) damaging my hearing. These Wlaker's work PERFECTLY. Once in my ears, they amplify my hearing just above the level I hear without anything in my ears, yet when I fire my .41 Magnum or .44 Special, or any firearm for that matter, they protect my hearing wonderfully! As such, I HIGHLY recommend these! ... show more

  • I'm deaf in 1 ear and needed to hear better - great for shooting.
Pattern Name: Ear Bud Rope Style: Standard
I got these to enhance my hearing while hunting and shooting. Was a little nervous the first time I shot, but they worked perfectly. I could hear much better talking with my group while we were sighting in my 308 and every time I shot, the protector kicked in to bring the noise down to a bearable level It is important to get the foam earpiece that fits snug in your ear - they are also part of your protection. make sure they fit tight and seal well - if you shoot with the sound silencer off they should work to reduce the level on their own. Then when you turn them on they enhance the hearing , but also block 85db and above. I wish they had replaceable batteries instead of rechargeable ones, but so far they hold up well - we'll see if they still do come hunting season. I will probably carry a power bank just in case. The only issue I really had was typical of all sound amplification assistance devices I've tried - they amplify everything and don't really filter out sounds like engine noise, loud vibrations and such which obscure voices. I was hoping to use while driving with wife in the car, but the other noises still drowned her out - just like in my hearing aids. Great for shooting though and hoping they hold up well in the field this season. ... show more

  • Good outdoor earpro for hot environments.
Pattern Name: Ear Bud Rope Style: Standard
I bought these for shooting outdoor pistol and rifle in Florida, where 11.5 months of the year it is hot and over the ear can be too hot for me. They serve their purpose if your purpose is decent noise reduction at a decent price point. Right out the gate, these do not even compare to noise reduction over the ear muffs do. When I go to the indoor range, I use rubber plunger plus Walker's Razor electronics. I would never use these indoors. Outdoors, they provide sufficient noise reduction. Not as good os just wearing my Razors, but enough to take out the loud pop and not hurt my ears. The amplification is also much less than my Razors. These earbuds provide an OK level of noise amplification where I can hear people close to me talk, I can hear the starting timer, etc. These are not like Razors that you can hear the slightest whisper 20 feet away. I will say the audio quality is much better on these than Razors, they aren't as tinny or buzzy. There is also less echo. Battery life appears to be good. I have run then for 4-5 hours straight with no degradation of sound or dying. One small annoyance is the flimsy rubber charging port cover that always goes loose. I used one of my kids dental rubber bands and now it holds in place. Overall if you want good outdoors protection for not too expensive and does a decent job at keeping the noise down, you will like these. ... show more
