  • I'm deaf in 1 ear and needed to hear better - great for shooting.
Pattern: Ear Bud Rope Style: Standard
I got these to enhance my hearing while hunting and shooting. Was a little nervous the first time I shot, but they worked perfectly. I could hear much better talking with my group while we were sighting in my 308 and every time I shot, the protector kicked in to bring the noise down to a bearable level It is important to get the foam earpiece that fits snug in your ear - they are also part of your protection. make sure they fit tight and seal well - if you shoot with the sound silencer off they should work to reduce the level on their own. Then when you turn them on they enhance the hearing , but also block 85db and above. I wish they had replaceable batteries instead of rechargeable ones, but so far they hold up well - we'll see if they still do come hunting season. I will probably carry a power bank just in case. The only issue I really had was typical of all sound amplification assistance devices I've tried - they amplify everything and don't really filter out sounds like engine noise, loud vibrations and such which obscure voices. I was hoping to use while driving with wife in the car, but the other noises still drowned her out - just like in my hearing aids. Great for shooting though and hoping they hold up well in the field this season. ... show more

  • Good outdoor earpro for hot environments.
Pattern: Ear Bud Rope Style: Standard
I bought these for shooting outdoor pistol and rifle in Florida, where 11.5 months of the year it is hot and over the ear can be too hot for me. They serve their purpose if your purpose is decent noise reduction at a decent price point. Right out the gate, these do not even compare to noise reduction over the ear muffs do. When I go to the indoor range, I use rubber plunger plus Walker's Razor electronics. I would never use these indoors. Outdoors, they provide sufficient noise reduction. Not as good os just wearing my Razors, but enough to take out the loud pop and not hurt my ears. The amplification is also much less than my Razors. These earbuds provide an OK level of noise amplification where I can hear people close to me talk, I can hear the starting timer, etc. These are not like Razors that you can hear the slightest whisper 20 feet away. I will say the audio quality is much better on these than Razors, they aren't as tinny or buzzy. There is also less echo. Battery life appears to be good. I have run then for 4-5 hours straight with no degradation of sound or dying. One small annoyance is the flimsy rubber charging port cover that always goes loose. I used one of my kids dental rubber bands and now it holds in place. Overall if you want good outdoors protection for not too expensive and does a decent job at keeping the noise down, you will like these. ... show more

  • Worth every penny!
Pattern: Ear Bud Rope Style: Standard
AMAZING! I bought these and the more expensive blue tooth pair. These work wonderfully! We shoot trap for hours. I bought them because it's hard to hear everyone talk with normal plugs, but not having anything hurts my ears. These are great! I put the wire in my ponytail or hair clip. They stay in really well. The bluetooth ones are still too loud for me at the lowest setting? These are perfect. Battery lasts all day while on. The Bluetooth ones wire causes static rubbing sound but these don't. The only thing I would change is smaller sizes, and the wind is really loud on a super windy day but that's all. Worth every penny! ... show more

  • Doesn’t work.
Pattern: Ear Bud Rope Style: Standard
I am so disappointed in this item. I missed the window to return so that’s on me. Please don’t waste your money on these. Mine worked twice and haven’t been able to make them work since.

  • 29 db protection, not so much at least not so much for me.
Pattern: Ear Bud Rope Style: Standard
While the Hearing Protection rating on the Walker Rope Hearing aids are listed as 29 DB my experience is that they are no where close to that in actual trap shooting conditions. Whether it's that the foam ear piece working its way out of the ear canal or the seal just doesn't or won't conform to my ear opening I don't know but....Fact is I would not buy them again nor recommend them to others. If you are concerned about your hearing in loud environments buy a good set of Walker or other ear muffs, at least that's what I did and find them much quieter. ... show more

  • Great for outdoor shooting!
Pattern: Ear Bud Rope Style: Standard
I love these earbuds. I am waiting for them to go on sale again to get another pair. I have been putting it off cause they have not failed yet. I use the heck out of them and I thought that by now they would quit but they still work like day one. I have had to replace the foam parts but walkers included extra in the case, so no issues. My only complaint and its not really a complaint is that the wire can sometimes get stuck on clothing or skin. But I have combated this by putting the wire through my hat adjuster and no issues after. Easy to still hear range commands with these. ... show more

  • Works great!
Pattern: Ear Bud Rope Style: Standard
There work extraordinarily well! Comes with carrying case and charging cable. They are very comfortable for a whole day at the range, battery life is great (used for 2 whole days on the range and didn’t have to recharge). Easy on/off switch and volume controls, the noise cancellation works very well, and speaking voices can still be heard very clearly. Great buy, definitely recommended. ... show more

  • Fitting is everything.
Pattern: Ear Bud Rope Style: Standard
Used them first time at an Appleseed rifle event. After years in electronic muffs, they take some getting used to. Have to put them in just right. Early in the day I hated them, then started to appreciate them more after lunch. The controls are easy and I remembered to power them down at every break. I will give more feedback as I use them more, but now I can wear my boonie hat on the range for additional sun protection. ... show more
