First off - I have a 2004 Camry XLE with the 4 Cyl. I currently have 311,000 miles on the car and decided that it was probably time to replace the original factory muffler due to decreasing fuel mileage and slower pick up on the bottom end... There was no other reason to replace my stock one. I bought the Walker 53602 muffler for this "maintenance". I rate removal of the stock muffler 5 STARS and anyone with an impact wrench can do it... as it took me 7 mins to remove the old muffler with a 14 mm impact socket and completely pull the old one off. 2 bolts and wiggle and wiggle the three rubber boots off and it falls right off. I rate the installation as 5 stars of the Walker 53602... 11 mins for installation and same as removal but reverse... I rate the "exact fit" as a 2-3 stars BECAUSE... pictures show that the muffler DOES NOT SIT FLAT.... IT LOOKS FUNNY tilted at an angle and looks like I hit something or ran over something that now makes the muffler crooked... but it all fit where it should. 5 STARS ON USE-ABILITY... Immediately increased low end and top end power, immediately removed the weird exhaust smell from inside car and outside. SUPER quiet... It was quiet before but now even more quiet... YOU WILL NEED TO BUY 2 bolts and nuts, and one flange gasket as they are not included. Home depot I bout both bolts and nuts for $2.45- Yes I brought the muffler to homedepot in a shopping cart and fit two bolts that were a 1 1/2 inch long M 10 size... This car will go 1 million miles unless it gets totaled by someone elses doing. My 2004 4runner has 278,000 on it and toyotas that are well maintained last forever... Would I buy this again yes.. Do I care that it is slanted no... But would LOVE for WALKER products to send me one that is not slanted by redoing their design... ... show more

    • Great Fit. good price. Only lasted 3 years.
2022 update. It just rusted through. Lasted three years. Expect more from stainless. Still an acceptable part. We do a lot of stop and go driving. Going to see what the limited lifetime warranty covers now. Lol. For less money than the standard Toyota part, you get a stainless muffler. It is about as quiet as the original. It fits the replacement cat back pipes I used perfectly. Hangers are a little different than the original, but very easy to install. Construction is solid with heavy gauge metal. Check your heat shields when replacing, as they have a tendency to rust at the fasteners and fall off. Might want to replace or fortify them. The ONLY gripe I have with this muffler is the inlet pipe is not smoothly bent(hence the 4 star rating). This may restrict exhaust slightly, and provide a spot for corrosion to form. Would buy this again. Believe it is made in US! ... show more

    • Perfect Fit. Much lighter than OEM muffler.
Perfect fit. More expensive than a muffler for a low emission Camry. The aluminum body dented easily compared to the factory muffler. This one is much lighter by 50% the weight.
