I tout myself as an expert furniture assembler. I enjoy doing it; it’s like a puzzle. This dresser was definitely the hardest thing I’ve ever put together. It took me a few days, working on it appropriately 2 hours a night. Following the directions was difficult. I caught a few of my mistakes and had to go back and fix them. IF YOU AREN’T FULLY PRESENT WHILE PUTTING THIS TOGETHER, you will mess up. Shall I say it louder for people in the back?! Yes, the drawers will be misaligned if you don’t follow the directions correctly. The left-sided drawers are not made to fit the right side of the dresser and vice versa! My tips for success: Set everything out, give yourself plenty of time, have good lighting to read the directions well, check and recheck your progress and for sure use a ratcheting screwdriver that helps with turning. Good luck! It’s a great dresser, very sturdy and beautiful.

Where to start, lol. First off in the end of putting this dresser together I was pretty proud of my self because I put 90% of it together on my own but with the need of help for 2 of the steps my husband step in. Looking at the reviews i felt ify to buy but I couldnt pass up the price since the main company is selling it for almost $400. It took me about a lil over 3 1/2 hours to finish, and some of the pre-drilled holes are off a bit just an FYI. I did see some reviews about the drawers being off set, not shutting right so I really suggest a leveler when you screw in the main slider parts. And you might end up creating a new hole an inch or so from the pre-drilled ones you just want to make sure they match each other when placed and screwed in I really suggest to double check and level it to avoid drawer issues. The material details may say its wood, BUT its ply wood I attached a picture where you can see it, even though they may have pre-drilled holes, as I was screwing in the sides of the little drawers together, the screws weren't going in straight and going off to the side to mess up the ply wood and that was frustrating, my husband had to make new holes. The instructions tell you not to use a drill but doing this by hand can hurt after a while or maybe it was just me but using a drill towards the end of a screw being in and not at full speed or anything but it can help to tighten the screws in place. Put together its really nice, my pictures were taken at night so the drawer color looks a bit darker, its actually a lighter color, pretty simular to the images you see. You pay for what you get at a cheaper price and well I'm sure I'm not the only person on a budget here. But to be honest I was pretty satisfied after I put it all together its do-able and looks nice once put together, it fits well with the theme I'm going for in our room.

I'm shocked at how many people are complaining about how long it takes to assemble this dresser. Yes, it takes a while, but if it only took a few minutes, you would be left with a very flimsy dresser. This will take a few hours to put together, but the instructions are clear if you take a minute to fully read them, and none of the steps are complicated. Once constructed, you have yourself a sturdy, good looking dresser. I took away one star from my rating because my box was missing one piece (one of the bottom braces for one drawer), but after contacting Walker Edison's customer service they sent me a replacement part right away. I took another star away because the drawer dimensions shown in the product description are not accurate. The description shows the dimensions as 9.25" H X 15" D X 25" W, when in reality they are about 5.75" H X 11" D X 23" W. I had purchased drawer organizers to use going off of the stated dimensions and they did not fit, because the dimensions were wrong.

I absolutely love this dresser. I purchased 3 and put them side by side to extend down a wall. I love the look! I read the reviews before purchasing, so I was mentally prepared for some of the issues other people had before. It takes around 3-4 hours to put one together. Don't rush! If you do, you will probably miss a step and have to go back and fix something. The drawers do not go back far but they are deep, so they hold tall items or a high pile of clothes. Be careful not to bang the pieces around because they can chip somewhat easily. I don't think these would be good for younger kids but teens and up should be fine.

Assembly: Agree with other reviews that this assembly process is horrible. I don't normally mind assembling things, but a few of the images are inaccurate and with six drawers, if one thing is wrong, you have to redo 6 or 12 times. Pre-drilled holes were not exactly aligned, making assembly harder. And if you're just a tad crooked on the drawers, it'll cause the all the drawers to fit into the frame a tad off which is very noticeable. I had to shuffle all the drawers around until finally at least they all fit in without pushing on one another. Quality: I assumed that most of it would be cheap particle board, but thought that at least the drawer fronts of "reclaimed wood" would be nice, but I was wrong. Even though the dresser is very heavy, all the parts are cheap. Having to assemble every single part meant that there was no where to hide the poor quality of the materials. They know you'll likely not return it as one, it's super heavy so you'll lose on paying the shipping fee and it's just hard to ship, and if you've assembled it, there's no way you'll disassemble. The only plus is that it does look nice from far away.

this dresser intimidated me a lot bc all the reviews say it’s super hard to put together, but i found that it truly wasn’t that difficult and the instructions were very helpful! it took me about 5 hours to put together by myself and that’s with breaks and some mistakes! the drawers are super deep, but not very long. they still hold a lot of clothes tho! it’s a perfect match for my room, i’m really happy with it!

Comes with tons of pieces, took me six hours total to build but I didn’t want to pay for builders so I expected a lot of work. Turned out really beautiful and very sturdy but I was very tedious with my work.
