  • Shovel
Works great but comes all in pieces it takes awhile to put together but very good quality

  • Goes together faster using real tools
This snow shovel is well-built. The materials are rugged. The blade is heavy gauge metal and appears to stand up to shearing forces (trying to twist it by hand). The only thing is... I haven't really been able to use it yet. Actually, I hope that by getting this before Winter, I will be subject to the same law of nature that prevents rain from falling only on the days you bring your umbrella with you. In other words... I hope I DON'T get a chance to use this at all this Winter. I could really do without any snow for now. But, I wanted to be prepared, and I didn't want to break my aging back bending over with a shovel when the snow could just as easily be pushed away. So my review will be based on the quality of the materials, ease of assembly, and effective design. I already mentioned the product quality. I will add that it was packed well, and every piece was suitably wrapped and protected from any potential transportation damage. The instruction guide was easy to read and understand, even though it was mostly a pictorial diagram. The parts were easy to identify. It even comes with two utility wrenches, but take my word for this, if you have a ratchet set and some box wrenches... USE THEM INSTEAD! It will save you a lot of time. It was a nice touch for the manufacturer to add the wrenches. If you're in the middle of the desert, and only have this package, you will have no problems getting it completely assembled on your own. The only trouble you'll ever have in that situation is finding snow to push in a desert. The pictures show the completed assembly. There are three angles you can set the push arm to. I'm six feet tall, and with the push arm set to the middle position, the bar comes to my navel. There is a picture that shows that approximation. The only thing I worry about when I actually get to use this as intended is if the angle of the push arm in relation to the blade will be too high, in that the slightest resistance or "catch" on the surface being pushed clean will cause the operator to flip over from the top. Resting the wheels and blade edge together on the ground sets the push arm at a vertical angle of about 75 to 80 degrees. This will reduce the leverage you get when pushing and could cause a rut in the plowed surface to create a strong pivoting action if it catches the blade. I don't know if it will, but I see it as a concern. But that's not the reason why I took a star off of my review. I took off a star because even though the push bar is double-jointed, and can easily be loosened and folded, I could not find any decent way to fully collapse the shovel. The smallest volume I could reduce it to, while still staying assembled, can be seen in one of the pictures. This makes it rather inconvenient for my first thought of being able to store it on hooks on the garage wall. ... show more

  • my husband says easy to assemble and it works great
My husband, 70 years old and he still likes to go and shovel, but I thought maybe this would help him a little bit. When he put it together, he said to say that it was easy to assemble well we finally got 4 inches of snow and then right afterwards another 4 inches of snow here recently in Michigan so he went out and gave this a try and said that it worked very well and pushing it up towards the road which is what I figured he would do with it. He said as far as the sidewalk it was kind of a mix because it was just as easy to use the regular snow shovel because it could push it to the side easier. But according to my husband, he says this is a winner. It’s a great item and it works well and it’s very well made and heavy duty. The price point is pretty much where it should be as far as the item that you’re going to receive I give this shovel five stars ... show more

  • Great for even surfaces
We've only had one snow so far, so I'm still getting used to this new shovel. But I think I'm going to love it. Having the wheels to assist is really nice. I can do our driveway and sidewalks so much more quickly. The one possible negative is if you have any unevenness in your surface to be cleaned. Our sidewalks are pretty old and cracked. I found myself catching the shovel blade against concrete pieces that are sticking up. But I was finding my way with it all pretty quickly. All in all, I like it! ... show more

  • Larger than expected; should make snow shoveling easier in the upcoming winter!
I obviously haven't had the chance to use this to shovel snow yet, but I did go through the assembly (to put the final product in the garage), and my initial impression over the overall quality of the product is good. Assembly took about 30 minute for me, but that was with me doing incorrect things throughout. Here are some tips from my experience: 1. Lay out the screws and the parts first and make sure you match them up with the labels. There are two parts (I believe it is parts E and F) that attach to the shovel which look symmetrical but are not - I flipped the two around when assembling initially and had to undo the screws and nuts to fix that, which basically doubled my assembly time. The instructions and the pictures are pretty clear, so make sure you spend the time to exactly match to them before tightening everything. 2. If you have a socket wrench, use it. I tried to make do with the two included wrenches, but it just takes way too long. I probably would have cut my assembly time in half if I had just used my own socket wrenches to begin. 3. The size is pretty big and long, so if you can get another person to help, it will be much easier. I was able to do everything myself, but you will cut down on the needed time and effort with another person. The one thing that I found a bit puzzling is that most of the screws are longer than what is needed, especiall the one that attaches the shovel to the handle. The screw on that was actually so overly long that I couldn't use my socket wrench to tighten all the way (the screw sticking out from the nut prevented me from using the wrench). The included wrenches are also just okay quality, so make sure you don't overtighten too much to avoid damaging them. The finished product looks nice and sturdy, and I am thrilled with the fact that this has wheels, which should make it much more convenient when shoveling. This should come in very handy for us in the upcoming winter as we will inevitably need to clear out our driveway multiple times. ... show more

  • Waste of money and effort assembling
After all the money I spent on this, and all the time it took me to assemble the dark thing with the little wrench...IT DOESN'T WORK! we got 4" of snow the other day and it rolls fine but won't keep contact with the ground, regardless of what angle I put the handle bar at. Didn't work for anything in my driveway or sidewalk. Very disappointed and now idk what to do with this thing. It's just sitting in my garage indefinitely. ... show more
