I have read mostly good reviews of the "budget" Votatu brand and decided to try 1 on a 5.7X28 pistol. I haven't had a chance to run it yet but it seems like a quality optic. It's packaged very nicely with everything you would need to mount to almost any pistol (it even includes a picatinny mount for a non-optics cut but for a picatinny rail mounting option) . The glass is nice and clear, the auto off works like described, and most important to me, - the reticle is pretty clear even with my astigmatism! All 3 reticle options are easy to swap between and the side loading battery is convenient. Only time will tell how it holds up to use and see if it's really a budget optic or a cheap optic.... There is a huge difference between the 2!

recently had the pleasure of using the VOTATU Shake Awake 3 MOA Red Dot, and it has become a fast favorite. Its shake awake functionality is a welcome addition, flawlessly bringing the red dot to life with movement and conserving the battery when not in use. The 3 MOA dot is crisp and bright, maintaining excellent visibility even in sunny conditions. The build quality is solid, giving me confidence during rugged use. Installation was a breeze, and it has held zero with impressive reliability. This red dot sight is a fantastic value for its features and performance.

Honestly just as good as a holosun or vortex. I put on a rost martin several months ago and so far so great.

I installed the optic and included plate on my Gen 5 MOS Glock 19 and it was a perfect fit. I used a bore sight and zeroed it in without any issues. The plate was more of a slide into place than drop in. The optic looks great on my G19. I may have an operator issue.... The shake to wake doesn't appear to be working. I'll have to read the instructions again. It seemed like it should have been easy. The + and - buttons work to turn it on and off. I thought this would change between red and green. I don't see where that is either. It could be something I missed in the features like it's one or the other.

Shortly after the return window, the glass fell out at the shooting range. Why would this happen? This is a piece of garbage and now entirely unusable. Avoid at all cost.

this device works very well and seems to be able to handle the shock of a 12Gauge without issue, so far. This works perfectly , when paired with the right base mount, on an Barretta A300 Ultima Patrol Shotgun and allows for co-witnessing using the built in sites.

Pro: Retails at $170, well build, comes with MOS plate and a bunch of screws if you want to mount it on Glocks or other pistols, side battery tray, mutliple reticles, stylish looking, one of the few enclosed red dots I know that runs on the more common RMSc footprint so no ARCO/Steiner plate is required. Con: Not as bright as I thought especially on reticle setting, it get washed out pretty easily outdoor. Only way to fight it is to keep it on the red dot setting. Runs on 1620 battery instead of the more common 2032 battery.

Is good quality. Very easy to install. Comes with the plate you need. Comes with an extra battery and tools needed for install. Tried it on my pistol and put it on my shotgun. Love the way it looks. Definitely recommend getting this product. For the money it is very good.
