  • Love the efficiency and easy setup!
Color: White Style: Alexa Enabled Pattern Name: Fan
Easy Alexa installation... asks you to set up routines right away... you can control fan with "Fan 1,2,3,4" or name a custom one. I named my Fan 4 speed as "Turbo Fan"... Really cool, rides really low on the window sill. The foam side inserts can be squeezed/cut/molded to fit perfectly... So far, really quiet, but the big thing for is that the fitting into my window drastically cut down outside traffic noise. I did buy the unit just before Amazon Prime Days, so it took more time to receive, but no matter... Terrific product! ... show more

  • Our favorite window fan
Color: White Style: Remote Control Pattern Name: Fan
Works perfectly & fits extremely well in our various window sizes due to the different sized inserts included with the purchase. We own three of these fans now. We can use them for exhaust and incoming air. They are quiet, look pretty, and I like that they don't block our view of the outside due to their compact size. Easy to place and take out of the window, because I don't leave them in when we aren't home, so the windows can be locked. ... show more

  • Good Fan, Though Tricky to Set Up
Color: Black Style: Remote Control Pattern Name: Fan
The fan itself works very well. It's not too noisy, and on the lowest setting works good as a white noise generator as well as a cooling system for when you're sleeping, depending on how far the window is from your bed (in my case it was less than three feet away from mine). The temperature detection feature works alright as well; you can set it to a particular temperature and whenever the room gets too hot it'll activate and blow in cool air until it gets low enough, after which it'll shut off by itself. Of course this can result in the fan turning itself on and off at regular intervals, which can be annoying. I also like how the fan's airflow can be reversed with just a push of a button, allow air to blow out of the window instead of being drawn in through it. This is handy not just for maintaining good airflow to help get rid of excess humidity, it can also help get rid of smoke and unpleasant odors you might have- one time I was changing a vacuum bag and accidentally spilled the old one on the floor, and this fan helped get rid of the musty smell that lingered after cleanup. The biggest issue I have with it, or at least one that I think most people would have with it, is the foam rubber inserts used to fill in the gaps for the window frame on either side of the fan. They come in three different sizes (1 inch, 2 inches, and 4 inches wide), and I managed to find which ones fit the window perfectly, but it was a bit of a hassle both to figure that out and to actually get them securely in the window frame, requiring me to hold three things steady on one side while I wedged another thing in on the other side. But also one thing to consider is not just the width, but the height- I don't know what your window frame is like, but the inside of mine has a slight incline (probably from the house settling over the years), and the way the fan and blocks are designed they can only stay upright if they're being held snugly between the sliding window from above while sitting on the windowsill, so if your window frame is a bit warped like mine or just a bit lower than usual, the blocks will be too short and fall over. I had to slap on several layers of duct tape on the bottom of each block in order to make them tall enough to fit properly. And of course, if you're taking the fan out of the window to put away for the winter, you have to consider where to put the blocks, both the extras you don't need and the ones you used for the window, so it takes up a bit more space in storage, and personally I prefer appliances like this to have as few loose accessories as possible. Still, aside from the minor annoyances of the blocks, this fan has served me well in the last few months, and hopefully will continue to do so. ... show more

  • Great fan. Quiet, nice looking. We own 3
Color: Black Style: Remote Control Pattern Name: Fan
We now own 3 of these fans. They replaced fans we had to turn around nightly to either let cool air in or exhaust hot air out. The Vornado fans are quiet, easy to use, with the click of a button we can change the direction of air. Very happy we purchased as they look nice in the windows and take up less space than our previous fans. ... show more

  • A great fan that is majorly flawed...
Color: White Style: Remote Control Pattern Name: Fan
This is truly a great window fan. It's fairly quiet and moves a lot of air in or out of your room and seals into your window well. But it has some major flaws, it's another example of a product that was designed and never once tested... 1: The remote controls other Vornado fans. Only it doesn't. Hit buttons on this remote and your other Vornado fans may turn on or off or adjust in strange ways you would expect. Or use another vornado remote near this fan and it will make adjustments on this fan you wouldn't expect. Meaning, on or off on one might turn the "inside vs outside" air option off on another. Terrible design but only matters if you have other vornado fans nearby. 2: The thermostat feature is great except it doesn't work well. Set it to 70 for example and it will cool until it reaches 70 then turns off. But seconds later it turns back on, probably because it isn't blowing that cool air over the thermistor (the sensor), then seconds later it's back off. It repeats this constant on and off endlessly at times. Super annoying and would probably drive you nuts in a bedroom at night when you are trying to sleep because, while it is quiet, it is not silent. It should instead work like your house HVAC thermostat where you set it to 70, it cools to 69 or so, then turns off. It waits until it reaches 71 (for example) and turns back on at which point it runs until it reaches 69 again. This way it's not on and off every few seconds or minutes. But Vornado didn't get this very obvious way all thermostats should work. 3: It's pricey. Worth it if it all worked properly, but not for how flawed it is. ... show more
