Machine has good battery life and gets the job done even with heavy snow

I live in NE Ohio and we get a fair amount of snow most years. My gas blower crapped out and frankly I was spending more time trying to get it started than actually running it anyway, so decided to try this battery model. My drive way has a two-car turnaround and is about 6-7 car lengths long, plus I have a curving front walk from the drive to the front door. The first snow we got was a great test - it was a very heavy precipitation that was almost sleet, and was about three inches. I was skeptical to say the least, because even my gas blower would struggle with that type of snowfall. I dropped in the batteries and went to work. It worked great. It was throwing the snow so far, it went over my six foot fence and hit my neighbor's back door (oops), so had to adjust the chute. I did all the driveway and the walk and the batteries were still showing 25% charge when I came inside. It also did the real heavy stuff at the end of the driveway where the plow had gone by. I stalled it twice when I got a little too deep into a snow pile along the edge, but I would also do that with my gas model. The machine is very lightweight, so not sure about durability. The blade is a thicker plastic and will probably do OK long term, but not sure about the bottom piece that drags the driveway. Time will tell. For the price, it's off to a good start. Battery life is great and it gets the job done. And no more pulling, pulling, pulling on a starter cord when it's 20 degrees out.

Well worth the money

Wow! I plow snow here in Buffalo. I use this to clear clients sidewalks. It get a lot of use. It has no problem throwing snow 25 feet. Very happy with this product. It’s actually funny because the more snow there is on the ground the better it seems to work. Well worth the money. Great battery life. Batteries charge nicely when using the AC plug in my truck. This product saves me a lot of time! Easy to use. Perfect size to store, use and handle. The design seems to be perfect. Compact but powerful.

Great for typical weight snow.

I have used this blower 2x since receiving it and putting it together last week. Here is my experience, so far. Keeping in mind I am a 5’3”, 150 lb, 66 yr old lady, assembly was easy and fairly straightforward. Probably took me 30 mins. Might have been easier if I had someone to hold things. The first snow was icy and when I went to use the blower, I was kind of disappointed because it was hard to push in spite or maybe because of its light weight. I don’t think it would have done any heavier or slushy snow like we had here last year. Today we had 4 more inches of more of a typical texture snow and I didn’t know what to expect. To my surprise, I was able to clear the drive relatively quickly without even using all of the battery. My drive holds about 4 cars end to end and is two cars wide at the garage, I cleared most of it. That batteries were spent with the icier snow. Charge time is 70 mins The blower does seem to hang up on slight unevenness in the the pavement, so keep that in mind. Overall, I am really, glad I have this. I have a gas Toro but it always seems to need a man to start it the first time every year and none is ever available around here. I don’t think it would do great with more than maybe 6”, so that may be a consideration, too.

First Time Out... Impressive So Far!

I have to say that this unit went together easily. I chose it because of the "2" batteries and the added power they would supply. The safety button on the side is also a plus as is the height and shape of the handle. I am going to attach my attempt at a video which I am pretty pleased with since it was me with the blower and the cell phone so not as professional. Anyway, this unit throws the snow. It's a bit larger but at 23 pounds easy for this senior citizen to handle. I feel it is a good quality and a solid value for the money. Love that it also has lights on the front and a button you can press to see how much charge is still in the batteries. This unit had some damage to the packaging so was discounted a bit but it didn't impact the machine inside. Upstate NY gets its share of the white stuff and I will only review what I have used first hand as honestly as possible. I hope this helps! We are getting some snow tonight so I will make another video tomorrow during the daytime.

Stopped working after 3 snowfalls!

We were initially impressed with this snowblower. It handled 10 inches of snow the first day, followed by 5 inches the second day and 4 inches the third day with no issues. However, on the fourth snowfall, the snowblower failed to start. The lights came on, but the engine would not crank, even though both batteries were fully charged. We returned the unit for a full refund.

After First Use…Exceeded Expectations

I have an approximately 40 foot wide by 60 foot long driveway in front of a ranchplex. This is the first time I used it, and some of the obstacles that were already against it were the 6” of snow we got last week that a snowplow took care of, leaving large chunks of ice scattered around the drive and I drove over the 6” of snow last night to get to my garage. When I started using it, I was trying to push it like a lawnmower, and it was going nowhere. Once I pushed down on the handle so it was just disposing of the fresh 5” of top snow it almost pulled itself. I was hoping to get the whole drive done and one charge but figured it would probably be half and second half later. It just kept going. I got the whole driveway done on one charge and then carried it around back and did the patio so I can grill out later. I will say, when the battery dies it dies. It doesn’t slowly lose power it just shuts off. It still exceeded my expectations and now I’m just hoping it’s going to be durable and last me for a couple years.

Did not last a full winter

I bought this because the description said that it could handle an inch or so of snow, the motor burnt out on this despite my best efforts to be gentle with it. I have a 800 ft roughly driveway with a decent parking space and live in northern michigan which gets heavy snow, my strategy was to keep up with the winter and for the random bouts of several ft call a plow service, but this shovel died at over halfway through my winter -- and it is a snow shovel, I think not a snow blower. I looked on the website and it said shovel not blower. Which i wanted a blower. Over all it cost me what having a plow service take care of my stuff....so I guess the value for money was decent. It was very easy to use fot me, as I am a small femine shaped person at 5ft exactly. I am a fit person, but did not find this to be very taxing. The battery lasted me for my whole driveway til toward the end when the motor burned out.
