I couple of times I have fallen on my backside outside. I always carry a cellphone and my daughter got me up easily without injury. But when I fell inside on the wooden floor she could not get good grip. With her help we finally hit me up. Since that time I have fallen two times in the house. Because both knees are replaced I can’t kneel without pain. Both times I have able to scoot myself to the machine. I keep it charged and both times it lifted me up so all I had to do was get up and walk off. In the ad it shows a wife helping a husband but if you can lift the back and wiggle onto the seat which is low, you just press the up green arrow and slowly you are lifted to freedom. I am 83 in January.

First of all, the printed instruction pamphlet included with our lift was for a different version of the same unit. We spent quite a lot of time looking for that hidden port to plug in the controller when, in fact, it was dangling right in front of us. And then there was absolutely nothing about charging it -- not even to say that the controller is also the power supply. And I had to find a Youtube video that said how to get the piston properly attached to the base. The pity is that all of this is really, really easy! The manual only needed about two pages of simple instructions and information, and some good pictures. Anyway. . . . having said that, it does seem to be a very nice unit and operates exactly as I had hoped, which is to help me up off the floor if I fall, or simply want to play trains with my great-granddaughter.

I absolutely love this chair lift. We had our grandchildren here when it arrived and so allowed them to try it. They were comfortable going up and down and using the controls. They are 6 and 8. When I bought it, I didn't realize it was mainly for bathtub use. I wanted it to help me get up off the floor/ground. Luckily it was a few w e 1eks before I fell again. Before my grandson and husband would have to lift me to a chair. I am over 200lbs so quite a job. With this chair lift they helped me scoot onto the seat, turned me to face forwa rd and it slowly lifted me. When I got to chair height my knees bent into position to stand up. Took about 10 minutes top. My second fall was even easier to recover from! I would recommend this for any one who has a history of falls without major injuries.

My 200 pound husband falls frequently. I got this together by watching a utube. The hooks to click It together have to be pushed down hard. I lifted myself on it and it seems to work. Be sure that the chair and person are near a bed or sofa or wheelchair. I am using a bungie cord to keep it closed. A new design with wheels and a lock to keep it from falling open would be nice. It is heavy but weighs less than my husband so a win I think.

I am severely handicapped, and this allows me to go down to the floor and get back up to my powerchair whenever I want by myself! It also allows me to enjoy a nice long bath when I want without having to depend on anyone else. Wonderful device.

Used it the 2nd day we received it. My husband was able to slide onto the chair and it lifted him easily to a height he could get up onto his walker. Saved my back. For me it has already paid for itself.
