Just opened the box. I figured out how to assemble the two pieces. Tried out and it worked fine. Hopefully it will stay in the closet for the rest of its life. Figured out that the batter is rechargeable (Youtube video) and the transformer just plugs into the controller. No problem. Could not find an online manual.     • Decent tool for recovering from falls. Good value but latch feature is not ideal for my use.
In caretaking for an older family member, I bought this to help my own back in the event of a fall. If I'm by myself, this product should help me be able to raise someone off the floor, then lift with leverage and transfer them back into their wheelchair. Other lifts seem to be very costly. For uses below 300 pounds, this lift is a decent option considering the price, portability, and ease of use. My one issue with the design is related to how I use the lift. At least on my unit, the actuator/cylinder becomes unlatched from the base "hook lock" when the seat is fully lowered. Thus, I need to keep the seat raised about an inch or so from the bottom. I cannot fully lower the seat because the chair wants to swing open (from becoming unlatched). However, this feature might be good for using in the bathtub...just not ideal for me. ... show more

    • Not just for bathtubs
This is great for handicaped users. The only drawback is that I would like another one! This can be used by anyone heping you upr by yourself . I recently got out of rehab and was too week to get up by myself. In addition to my RA and Osteo arthritis (I won't bore you wiith more issues) I fall a lot! I put it in my bedroom wheere most of my falls happen. i pul myself over to the lift and sit on it. Its easy to get on seat because it only a couple inches off the floor. You just push button on remote and can raise it to a height that is easy to stand up or to get on a walker. ... show more

    • This has been a huge help getting my mom up from falls.
I care for my 88 year old mom who has begun to have falls occasionally. The product has made it possible to get her up on her feet by myself.

    • How to put it together
Bad directions on how to assemble the unit. Pictures were bad that were in booklet with it, we spent almost an hour trying to figure out how to connect the back rest. Finally we went on line and found a video and the back rest only had to be attached at the sides, not at the bottom where the lift part comes down. Terrible directions !!!!!!! ... show more

    • Essential for elderly with shoulder or other body problems which are painful.
This device allows picking up elderly which have fallen without serious injuries. Especially good in situations where the arms and shoulders are painful with movement. It is portable and used battery power to operate.
