I needed a simple setup for our bedroom because TV speakers are garbage today. I did some research and found the TCL Alto 6+ was lauded as a great budget option and for $100 locally I pulled the trigger. Unfortunately is sounded awful. Voices sounded like they were coming from inside a can and the subwoofer had so little output it was basically a paperweight. I love my Vizio soundbar I have in my living room but it was 7 years old at this point and I was worried quality may have cheapened. I should have trusted my gut and just gone with another Vizio in the first place. This refurb arrived looking brand new, setup was super simple and it sounds great for the cost. It's perfect for a bedroom setup where you don't need surround sound. And I actually had to turn the subwoofer DOWN the output was so good. Turning it up was waking up my daughters :-) For what amounted to $30 more than the TCL, the difference is night and day. The Vizio has a lot more adjustments available as well if you want to tune the sound to your liking where the TCL had very little tuning possibilities. I would recommend this soundbar at full price but the deal on the refurb is even sweeter! ... show more

I’m pretty happy with this, the sound quality is good, easy to install etc. I actually bought a second one for a second TV. Everything is good except for the Bluetooth is a little bit weird. Even when I don’t have it on the Bluetooth input, It constantly connects to my phone when it’s in range and that’s pretty annoying. I think there is a way to update the firmware, but haven’t gotten around that yet. That’s the only issue, I took off one star for that. ... show more

I’m so glad I didn’t listen to the negative reviews because this thing is amazing. I got it for my Roku tv and also to help with mixing my music. So as a producer who pays attention to all ranges of music, from highs, mids and low end this system has it all. RIGHT OUT OF THE BOX TOO it already sounds perfect. Now this is in my room which is a decent size and the 5 inch sub is making my room shake and im a guy who loves heavy bass so that should let you know everything right there. Unfortunately I didn’t get to use the hdmi Arc connection cause my tv has a Earc connection and not Arc and the voice assistant from the speaker kept saying “format not supported” so I assume it’s not backwards compatible, but optical works really good so it’s no biggie. Anyways enough talk BUY THIS THING RIGHT NOW IF U BEEN DOUBTING. Im telling you it took me a week of going back and forth cause of the negative reviews I saw, but I had to realize that these people simply had defected products and that obviously wasn’t the case with everyone, and besides it’s Amazon it’s not like they won’t take care of y’all. Incredibly easy to set up, my tv (sharp with roku built in). It instantly recognized it and set it up for me. I didn’t have to do anything except plug it in and turn it on. The wireless subwoofer was equally easy to install. Just plug in and turn on. I placed the wireless subwoofer behind my sectional couch. My cable tv remote controls the sound, I didn’t even have to change the settings or anything. The sound settings took a little to fine tune to my liking. I found turning on/off “real sound” to give the best dialogue sound. The subwoofer puts out a lot of bass, so I had to turn it way down for normal tv. It’s really a great setup for a great price. I bought this sound bar for my new LG TV. The sound quality is very good, especially with the separate woofer. It was easy to install and only took a few minutes to set up. It has settings for various kinds of viewing but I find the Movie setting works well for me. I do still sometimes have a hard time regulating the sound for some movies, having to turn them up for dialogue and then rushing to turn them down for ambient sound. The sound bar does seem to separate dialogue from ambient sound better than the TV alone, but I was hoping it would be better. I think it is most likely the way some movie sound is being recorded these days, though, and not a fault of the sound bar. I have had this product for eight months now. It was easy to set up and connect to my Vizio television. The subwoofer set up is simple and easy. I particularly like the preset equalization ranges dialog, movie, music and game. I also find the ability to tailor bass and treble and subwoofer response on the fly to adjust to different providers and programming. This won't replace your sound system for listening to music, but it does a pretty good job for YouTube or Amazon music. If you want serious high fidelity spend the bucks. If you want to have good full sound to watch tv at a very reasonable price, this is a good buy. ... show more
