I have about 10 of these around the farm and they hold up really well, even better than the heavy duty brass ones which always seem to leak on me pretty quickly. I never have to use plumber's tape and rarely have to replace the gaskets. These are the only splitters we buy!

    • Split open when the water froze
This was a nice water hose splitter that felt solid. The on/off switches felt a lot nicer than the other brands I've seen. After the water hose froze and then thawed, this splitter busted in a few places and was spraying water into a puddle.

    • Nice Quality - easy to use valves
I've had many of those brass 4 way splitters with the little brass valve knobs that invariably become hard to turn, become hard on the fingers, eventually begin to leak, and with outlets that spread out on each end making the end hoses stick out way too far. I was a bit hesitant to switch to this valve, but was glad I did. The nobs are large and comfortable to the fingers -- and turn very smoothly. The outlets are all pointed in the same direction without spreading of the outlets on each side. This keeps the hoses neatly aligned. A very nice valve. The only concern I have is for the zinc alloy male threaded hose connectors - hoping they don't eventually become corroded or brittle - making hose connections more difficult or making the connections difficult to remove. To help prevent this, I coated the threads with waterproof silicone grease just before attaching the hose -- making the hose connection as smooth as the valve operation and hopefully making the splitter easy to disassemble for the winter. It also has several mounting holes for attachment to the a wall or - in my case - a deck post. I'd highly recommend this over the brass valves and will be replacing my older brass ones as they too become too hard to operate or their valve controls start leaking. ... show more

    • WORKS GREAT! NO LEAKS, EASY TO TURN KNOBS
I love this thing. Makes my watering soooo much easier. Knobs are easy to turn. Doesn't smell like noxious plastic like this other one I got. Highly recommend.

    • Worst well until it doesn’t
I highly recommend not getting anything with plastic on it. I bought three of these but all three sprung various leaks. The water shoots out of the plastic seams in the back and there was no way to fix it. For the price, I don’t want to have to replace these every year.

Very sturdy and the valves operate smoothly and don't leak. Connections are far enough apart to easily hook up hoses and timers. I like this better than the brass ones I've purchased in the past.

This is a better product than comparable items at my local garden center costing twice as much. I have two that have survived at least one summer in the Arizona sun, something that absolutely destroys a lot of devices like this.
