My ice maker in my Fridge quit working and the endless trips for ice were getting old. I finally broke down and bought this ice maker and it comes in very handy!! Ice, Ice, Wonderful Ice!! It’s making ice all the time. You do have to empty the bin, it stops when it’s full, I just store all my ice in the freezer. There are 2 sized of ice pellet’s S & L. The ice maker is super fast. Literally 5 minutes and the 1st drop of cubes is ready, Just keep the water full, and empty the bin and it will make ice constantly. It stops when full, extremely quiet, I put mine in the nook by the fridge on the floor. Fit great, has plenty of space, and doesn’t take up counter space. After some use you will see sediment form in the bottom and it will need to be be cleaned. Do NOT follow the instructions in the book or you will be returning your broken machine. Drain the water. Use a microfiber cloth with a touch of bleach to clean out any sediment or ick & dirt. Clean all the parts you can reach. Don’t spray water inside or fill up an drain. It will stop working. Also, these only work about a year. I’m on my third. Eventually the components inside just stop cooperating with each other. It will cycle but it will not draw up water to make ice. You will know it’s about to go out when the ‘full’ light starts coming on when the machine is empty. Some tricks to keep pit going a little longer are to unplug it for an hour or so, and closer to the very end, you may have to lightly kick it it to get it to realize it is actually empty so it will make ice. Not long after this stage, it will die. It is still very Easy to set up, Easy to Use, and I highly recommend for a 1 year machine‼️

Really happy with my ice maker. Works great. It is loud but I enjoy the soft ice so much that it doesn’t bother me. The ice comes out quick. It is a little wet but after it is in my freezer it breaks up quite easily.

I live in a senior retirement community, and the kitchens are very small with very small appliances, including the refrigerator, which has no icemaker and a very small freezer. Ice is difficult to come by. This ice machine makes a reasonable amount of ice and a reasonable amount of time, although the time required to make the first few batches of ice is somewhat lengthy at 8 to 10 minutes. Once the basket starts to fill, however the time for each batch of eight nuggets decreases. This machine is probably too small to make sufficient ice for an entire family, but for one or two people it’s quite adequate. The cost is reasonable for what it does. It operates off of regular household current. This is my third one of these machines in the past four years of the same construction and model, but different brands. The major disadvantage is that they don’t last terribly long. We have extremely hard water, and in spite of draining regularly and running a batch of vinegar water through it every couple of weeks, the first one did eventually plug up. The second one began to leak after about a year. Another resident in this complex who has the same ice machine, said that hers only lasted about eight months, where as mine generally last a little over a year. However, I turn mine off every night and turn it on again in the morning, where as she ran hers 24 hours a day. Her motor burned out, and I think the motor is better protected if the machine is turned off during the hours that it is not necessary to use. Given the cost of the machine, which has been reasonably stable over the past four years, it is worthwhile to me to replace it every year or year and a half.

"I'm in love. I'm in love, and I don't care who knows it!" (Elf) But this could tell you how I feel about my ice maker. I purchased a Consumer Reports subscription, just so I could see their recommendation/review of top-rated ice makers. Well, I am still impressed with the quality AND the cubes, a month or more later. At first I was nervous, because I didn't know how long it would take to make ice, but I had to be patient, and it is really not that long of a wait. I make enough ice for a couple of days and fill up the container in our freezer. I no longer use the ice maker in our fridge and WILL NOT get it fixed because of my "new best friend." These ice makers ARE the solution when one's fridge ice-maker goes out, and THAT is a costly repair. We've had to install two ice makers so far and luckily, my husband installed the last one about three years ago. Now, no more need because of my Vivo Home ice maker. For some weird reason, I cannot add photos. I will try to do so later.

We wanted so badly for this machine to work. The size was right, the type of cubes were what we wanted, and the price was attractive. I read a mix of reviews beforehand and decided to take the chance we'd get the one to suit our needs and work longer than a few months to a year. Nope. It worked less than five hours and that was all she wrote. I should have known when opening the box that we didn't get a working machine that was brand new and without problems. 1 - A clear, oil-like substance was noticeable on one side of the machine and that same fluid had been leaking in the box as a bit of it was soaked into a corner and on the side. I believe I read a review that mentioned the same issue. Machine oil? Refrigerant? I have no idea but it wasn't a good sign. 2 - There was packing tape holding some of the Styrofoam packing around the machine, that seemed strange. 3 - When I read the instruction manual, it mentioned removing tape holding the parts inside the machine. There was no such tape and the items were loose inside the box (rattling around when I picked the box up after delivery). 4 - After making good ice all evening, I filled up the reservoir with water the following morning, turned it on and all it did was run and run and run and then smell "warm". No ice was made. I think we got a returned machine. Rather than go through the hassle of returning, I'm throwing it away. Gee... that disappointment WAS fast, wasn't it?
