I don't know how to describe the scent, but it smells very much like men's cologne. It's a pleasant scent, but not one I would normally pick for myself as woman. However, it does a great job on my hair. I have thick, fine hair that tends to get a little oily. This gets my hair squeaky clean but still soft. Often when I use a shampoo that makes my hair soft, it leaves too much heavy conditioner that weigh down my fine hair. But this one gives me volume and softness. I have only used this once, so I cannot attest to the thickening claim. But I am writing about the smell. It is a spicy smell, like a strong cologne that older ladies wear. Almost to the point that it could smell like a mens' cologne. I like those sort of smells, so I don't dislike it, but it is very strong. Too strong. I ordered these hair products not much longer after and I’ve been using this shampoo conditioner and hair oil for 5 months now and it’s working!! Thank God!
