I bought this ahead of rotator cuff surgery where I had a full thickness tear as well as a partial thickness tear from an injury. From the start, when I had a nerve block that prevented control over my arm for a couple of days, the support from this sling was excellent. My daughter figured out the configuration of the straps for me, because I found the way the straps wrap around the sling to be confusing. She didn't have difficulty, so maybe it was just me. I wore this for weeks and occasionally resort to it when my shoulder needs a rest. The padding on the straps is comfortable. ... show more

The wedge is square. For my particular surgery this put pressure on my shoulder and was uncomfortable. The sling is nice though velcors all together
