I bought this for my 11 yr old boy and placed it outside for him, it was easy to assemble. I am not a good builder but built this in less than an hour with minimal tools. The hoop is not super sturdy but it holds up well for just shooting, it has been exposed to rain and so far it has been OK. Good price for the item. This was easy to install. It's sturdy and it came with tools and an extra net. This was an excellent value. It has adjustable height too. 4558

My son assembled this hoop. It was simple enough. We left it up overnight, and small gust of wind knocked it down and bent the rim. The base doesn't have enough weight to hold the hoop very well, even with no wind. We used to have a different brand, and the base was much bigger, and never had this problem. Paid all that money for 1 day worth of use.

My husband and I had this put together quick. It’s a great goal. The only reason I took a star away is because the base leaked from day one so we ended up having to put something on it to weigh it down. Overall my kids love it! *only inside for gift giving went outside immediately lol.

One of the best purchases I’ve made in recent memory. Really a very nice set up for the price. Sturdy, stable, and adjustable. Instructions could be a little more clear, but with some patience and time it comes together pretty easily. Definitely fill the base with DRY sand for best stability. Emphasis on dry sand or you’ll be at it awhile with anything wet.

I ordered this for my son because the price was right, and the reviews were pretty decent. I'm not sure why it actually has such high reviews. It's not a terrible product, but it's definitely not sturdy. One review said it took about 10 minutes to assemble. It took my son and I about 3 hours just because the instructions weren't super clear. Had my husband been there, I would say it still would have taken at least an hour. We also currently have the base filled with water (what we had at the time), and that wouldn't have held it down. We placed a couple of cement blocks on the base as well. The whole thing shudders and shakes when the ball hits the backboard. If we know we're going to have a windy day, we will definitely have to go lay it down. So, overall, it suits its purpose - we'll just see how long it lasts!

I had to hire 2 people to build this. Within 2 hours of it being up, a wind easily blew it over, face-down, despite having the base filled with water. The rim is made with thin metal that easily bent. The backboard wobbles whenever a basketball hits it, to the point where it actually rotates! We've had it for 2 weeks now, and the base started spontaneously leaking out the water that anchors it down. It is very difficult to adjust the hoop height, and it definitely cannot be done by kids or without a second adult. Trying to return this to Amazon hasn't been easy, since I won't pay more to have it disassembled to package it. I'm on attempt #4 to have this picked up so my money can be refunded... Find a different hoop. Don't waste your time and money. Unless you need something very short-term that won't last.
