    • The best bang for your buck dash cam
I have purchased 4 different dash cams over 5 years. As of today, I have given the other 3 away to family/friends and am now exclusively using the A119 V3 for the foreseeable future. Here’s why. Picture Quality • Coming from an older 1080P Roav dash cam, the 2650X 1440 resolution of the A119 V3 is certainly a noticeable improvement in terms of clarity and capturing additional details. I am able to clearly make out license plate numbers of the vehicles within my vicinity while both stationary and to an impressive extent, while in motion on the highway. • The viewing angle is wide enough to capture the entirety of what I can see ahead in the drivers seat. Anything that I can see, the camera can see as well. • Nighttime performance is as expected for a dash cam of this price. It’s comparable to other dash cams of similar price range. Difficult to make out details, but will do the job if you're involved in an accident. Features • The adhesive used to attach to the windshield is incredibly strong and stable. I’m less worried about it falling off than I am never being able to remove it at all! Based on my recordings, I did not detect any shaking or movement of the dash cam while operating the vehicle. • The dash cam has a fairly sleek and inconspicuous design. If your cam does not stick out like a sore thumb, thieves are less likely to notice and steal it. Mine is attached to the blue tinted strip near the top of my windshield, just left of the front view mirror. When standing in front of the car, only the camera lens is visible. Unless you’re paying attention, you’d be hard pressed to realize there’s a dash cam recording your every move. • The GPS module is a unique extra feature. It captures and displays your real time speed and coordinates on the recordings, which is useful for disputing erroneously issued speeding tickets. • The Dash cam also emits a beeping noise whenever the device is not recording. You don’t want to be involved in an accident only to realize your dash cam didn't do the one job it was meant to do. • Mine is plugged directly into a 12V outlet because I’m too lazy to hardwire the camera. As expected, the dash cam turns on and off when I start and turn off my vehicle without a hitch. Temperature • I live in the North-east. So far, the camera has held up without a problem through the 2022 summer heat. My car is parked on the street all day and is directly exposed to the sun. Once winter arrives, I'll provide an update as to how well the camera holds up in the cold. To summarize, this dashcam does everything that I expect a mid-tier camera to do, without any sacrifices, and at a reasonable price.     • Great Dash Cam!
This is the 4th Viofo A119 V3 I have purchased, for myself and family members. These dash cams are simply great. Easy to install and set up and the video it provides is very, very good. I have had a couple of these in my cars over the past few years and have never had a problem with them. That is why I continue to purchase the Viofo brand dash cams when I need to (for family members), and have upgraded my A119 from a few years ago. The original was still working with no problems at all when I upgraded for my own vehicle. Never having to obtain warranty service for any of the Viofo cams, I am confident that if I ever need it, Viofo will be standing behind their products and will no doubt be very helpful. Viofo makes several different models of dash cams, but I can only vouch for the A119 models. However I am sure their other models are just as reliable as the A199's they sell. Prices are also good on their products. In my opinion, everyone should have a dash cam in their vehicle ... if you don't have one now, do yourself a favor and purchase one of the Viofo models.     • Company that stands behind its product
Update 5/22/2023, After the initial review, I had a few conversations with the company's CSR, and they were able to provide additional support and replaced the broken dashcam under warranty. While it is unfortunate that my original dashcam broke due to normal use, it's rare and refreshing for a Chinese company to actually stand by its product. Hopefully, the replacement dashcam will last longer than the last one. Original Review, The VIOFO A119 V3 dashcam is a complete disappointment, especially since it died after just one year of use. Despite its promise of high-resolution video and advanced features, the camera is simply not built to last. The camera's design is flimsy and lacks durability. The plastic housing feels cheap and lightweight, and the camera's mounting mechanism is prone to wobbling and shifting during use. This can cause the camera to become disconnected from its power source, leading to loss of footage and eventual failure. Furthermore, the camera's software was also problematic. It frequently froze or crashed, leading to lost footage or corrupted files. The menu system was confusing and difficult to navigate, and the camera's settings were not intuitive. Despite these issues, I was willing to overlook them because of the camera's affordability. However, I was extremely disappointed when the camera died after just one year of use. The camera simply stopped working and could not be repaired. This was a waste of money and a major inconvenience, as I relied on the camera for my daily commute. ... show more

it does a nice job simple to instal took me about 30 min I didn't hard wire it. Easy to download to computer. you do need to buy a SIM card MINI. nice picture video quality.
