I purchased the battery operated style which also came with a hard wire setup. These are substantial lights. The glass is very heavy and they definitely need screwed into the wall. Just the right amount of light for over the bed in the warm white setting. The lightbulbs are plastic and magnetic so all you need to do is pull them off and recharge when needed with the included usb cords. I can't say much about how these hold up over time as I just got them about a day ago, but so far, I love them! They have a really nice weight to them and look just as pretty in person. Installation took a little bit of time, but that might have been user error, honestly. I love that the lightbulbs are rechargeable and easy to remove due to the magnet. Small things I could critique: Since I have both in the same room, getting two remotes kind of feels silly, but it's nice to think of having a replacement in case one accidentally breaks. Don't be me--don't forget to tighten the washers on the internal screws before hanging and putting on the caps, otherwise you'll spend no less than 10 minutes trying to remove them. Overall: 10/10, already planning on buying more for other rooms :) ... show more

These were absolutely gorgeous, the only reason I didn’t keep them is that I needed something slightly more brassy gold and slightly less modern (which is strange because normally I’d never go for brassy gold nor traditional, but this one room had a specific need). Oh this was a tough one. I loved its look. The shade and the metal looked adorable. Nice quality. But the rechargeable bulb was just cheesy no matter which color or tone I used. I couldn’t make it work anywhere in the house.

These lamps add a lovely retro vibe to my dark and most loving room. The glass is thick and heavy, which is nice. I was expecting it to be thinner and lighter (aka quicker to accidentally break) as most modern things are. The remote control and led bulbs make it easy to change the color of the light. And the way the light fits into the lamp makes it easy to remove and charge. That being said, I have not had these lamps for very long and one of the magnets that holds the bulb in place has already come unglued from the lamp. Which means there's no way to hold the bulb into the light. If this were a $20 lamp, I wouldn't be too upset. But when the set itself is almost $100, I would expect them to last more than a month or two without breaking. Aside from that, the lightbulbs are a bit large for the lamps, so you can clearly see the bulbs in the lamp from a distance and the bulbs aren't very bright. My living room is painted dark. So, multiple light sources are necessary to help brighten the room. I got these lamps thinking they would be nice accent while adding a bit more light to the room. But they don't add much light. They feel more like movie theater lights that just add a subtle glow, but don't actually give off much light. They also take awhile to charge, but don't last very long once they're charged. I turned these on in the evening after they were fully charged. Just to have a little ambiance while watching tv for a few hours. I had to charge them the next day because they died. Once again, if these were $20 each, it wouldn't be a big deal. But for what you're getting, they're overpriced. Overall, I love the look of them and the lamps themselves seem sturdy and will made. They were easy to mount to the wall. But the bulbs themselves need improvement. ... show more
